Big hair

Do you like your big hair or do you fight it? I have fine thin hair and I like it big, but most of the time, I try to minimize the volume, especially for work........eeh gads, I've been brainwashed to believe less is more. Ok, I need to try big hair at work, must try big hair at work.......

I don't have very big hair, but I love big hair and wish mine were bigger! I think it's such a striking, exotic, sexy look. I wish my hair would do that!

I voted for BIG hair. It seems like I spent most of my life trying to calm my big hair (or what I thought was big hair), now, I just let it do its thing. I must be doing something right, I get a ton of PM's about how I get so much volume :D I actually have a little spiel saved about my routine so I can respond

I think "big hair" means a lot of different things to different people and depends upon perception, but I say "thumbs up" to what it is to me.

I love big hair in others, but I try to fight it on my own hair. Sorry, despite all the wondeful curlies here and their advise, I am still too self-conscious about my hair.

i feel pretty much the same way--although as my hair gets longer i'm getting more tolerant. i also think that for me, at barely 5'2" if my hair gets too big it overpowers me.

my hair isn't SUPER big, but it's definitely a lot bigger than most of the girls in my high school. once i was walking down the hall and some senior guys who were walking along behind me were saying how my hair looked like a "big bush." i was mildly horrified. but later, someone told me that i have the prettiest hair in the entire school, so i'm left not knowing WHAT to think! :?

I'm not sure how to answer this one. I guess it depends on what you mean like big.....do you mean 60's afro big.....or 70's Farrah Faucet juice can curls big...or 80's rock star poofy big?
Corkicelli Now! YAY! Now all I have to do is update my avy pic. :)

ITA. My hair always grows through out the day too. I hear so many wavies complaining about their hair going flat, and, asking my advice. I don't know what to say, mine just happens. Too many my hair doesn't look big in pictures, but, in person I have such a tiny face that it looks bigger. But, I have a feeling that standing next to you, my hair would like down right thin  :D

I voted for big hair. My hair is big, and I´ve always tried to "control" it. Now I´m less conscious(not completely!) of my hair, since I´ve learned (thanks to you all :D ) to keep it properly moisturized.

I voted YES to big hair! I love to see big, bouncy, happy curls on people.

I love my own hair to feel bouncy & swishy too but I have to be careful not to lose too much length.

I love those adverts where the models have that big, swingy hair (I'm getting carried away now, I know those people aren't real  )

My hair also "grows" outward during the day, and it would be huge without products. I try to control some of the bigness because big hair looks overpowering on me - I have a petite build and small face. All this to say that I think big hair can be beautiful and look great on some people, but I don't like it on me.

I don't like big hair, but that's probably because when I think of big hair, I think of my hair after being blow-dried with a regular dryer. I'm not talking about just some Oomph! and volume. My hair took "big" to the extreme. It was frightening. It was amazing how I was able to deal with it. I blow dry with a diffuser now and my hair has volume, but it is not HUGE like it used to be.

Thumbs up! I have fine, wavy hair--so always trying to get more lift/body/curl. Used to curl my hair in high school to make it bigger--you should see my senior pic :D I curled and poofed my bangs, until my future fiance convinced me to stop
