Trick for longer lasting lipstick

I bought the L'Oreal Endless lipstick that has the glossy topcoat. I decided I didn't care for the lipstick (I love my MAC Syrup!). So I decided to try the glossy topcoat over my MAC and it really does last much longer. Today is only my second day doing this, but I only lightly retouched late in the afternoon yesterday rather than a full reapply after lunch like usual.

Hehe, I have syrup too! love it! Usually I find when I put lipgloss over my lipstick it comes off quicker? Are you using the lipglass or lacquer?

Yep. So far it really does seem to work. I guess I'll have to give away my unopened tube of Neutrgena Clear Lipgloss.

Another trick I read in a magazine was to place a bit of foundation on you lips before putting on the lip stick and lip gloss. This is said to keep your lips in tip-top condition for hours.

But then again I haven't tried it, so I don't know.

Believe me I've tried this and every other trick in the book. This didn't work nearly as well as the gloss made especially for long lasting lipstick.
