Suave Curl Enhancing Spray Gel

This summer when I was using the whole Suave (un)Healthy Curls line i used this in conjunction with the other products because i'd get a free small bottle with the shampoos. When I went cg, i ditched it with the rest. however, after reading the bottle and realizing that the spray gel is in fact cg friendly (!!), i used some today on my beginning-to-droop curls. i flipped my head upside down, spray 5-10 times, flipped it up and sprayed a few more, and wow!!! its an AWESOME curl reviver!! plus, it has some hair-spray like qualities without the drying alcohol (hello, my name is shannon...i used to have a strong hairspray addiction, but i've been clean for about 4 months. :D)

moral of the story is: i'm going to by the big bottle of this, and carry the small bottle in my purse with me!! new hg?? not sure, but i have a feeling it might be.

I only used this on 100% dry hair though, i've had no luck with using it on wet hair.

here are the ingredients in case anyone is wondering:
Water Aqua , VP/VA Copolymer , Polyquaternium-11 , PEG-2 Oleammonium Chloride , Fragrance Parfum , Propylene Glycol , Citric Acid , DMDM Hydantoin , Dipropylene Glycol , Methyldibromo Glutaronitrile , Glycerin , Hydrolyzed Milk Protein , Honey Extract

OK, I totally agree! This stuff is pretty awesome, honestly! I only got it because it ended up being free w/ a coupon. I thought it would suck because it sounds so watery and thin in the bottle if you shake it around, not gel-ish at all. But, it truly is an excellent curl reviver when used on dry hair. I am astounded. My hair actually looks way better now than it did this morning. Totally perked up all my drooping.

Another plus is that is smells kind of nice, it does not have the same scent as everything else in that Suave Healthy Curls line.

Thanks so much for posting about this Shellynot, I would have never tried if I hadn't read your review!!

Huh, I bought this a couple of months ago for $1.49 and never got around to trying it. I think I just kind of assumed it wouldn't be very good. Now I'm digging it out of my "give away" bag!

Oooh, I'm very intrigued! I need a nice light curl booster/perker-upper! Now I see a trip to the store tonight in my future :laughing9:

I should be able to find this at Walgreens or CVS hopefully? Or maybe Target?

And here I was just saying how proud I was of myself for going a whole 72 hours without purchasing any hair care products!

The only negative thing I have to say about it, is that it does take a little of the softness out of my hair. It dries a teensy tiny bit stiff. But I could have just used too much.

Is this in the drug stores or only the dollar stores or Big Lots -- is it a product that is for sale presently???? I looked today in Walgreens -- they didn't have it!

bettinfla, sadly I can't seem to find it either. I've looked at CVS, Walgreens and 3 "dollar" stores but no luck. I'm headed up to visit my sister tomorrow and may just have to stop at any drug stores or dollar stores I see in hopes of finding a bottle. I'm always on the lookout for a very light spray gel/refresher! I'll let you know if I come across it anywhere!

I live next door to one and always rack up on my favorite items because they mark'em down so low...still have a tube of HEHG from last year. I bought so many!!!:toothy10:

Yeah, I've only seen it at the local Grocery Outlet store which is where discontinued things tend to end up.
