I've heard really good things about the Nourish conditioner. I haven't used it yet because of protein sensitivity, though.

If you like using aloe gel, they've got 99% pure aloe for really cheap.

Their french milled soaps are great, and the liquid hand soaps and lotions/hand creams. I'm not crazy about their hair care products but they are cheap and work ok. I would stick to bath and body type stuff in that section, plus toothpaste and maybe the aloe that someone mentioned.

ETA: But if it's your first trip, focus on the amazing cheese selection, the bottled sauces and wines and good snacks and nuts and excellent frozen foods and premade salads and decadent sweets... Trader Joes is so good for cheap foodie staples. I think you will love it!

    Ew!

I think I know what you mean by this, but ... ew! Are you talking about the tetra-paks?

I'm with you on the lavender sachets.

    Also:
    • sipping chocolate [not in every store all the time, but good odds right now since it's winter/holidays]
    • Snap-Peas in the chips aisle [WARNING: highly addictive]
    • If you like beer, they also have a great, really nicely priced beer selection. I like the Stockyard Oatmeal Stout and they also carry Samuel Smith's, which is very good stuff.
    • Cat cookies [for people]
    • Triple ginger snaps
    • Tamales [n the frozen section, bring a cooler]
    • Hand-tossed pizzas from Italy [frozen also]
    • Very yummy soy ginger carrots [frozen]
