I have 4/A-B hair and I manage to lay my (wet) hair down with any of the ic fantasia gels -- of course I have to use lots of gel

Staple products are SheaMoisture, Aubrey Organics and Trader Joes Norish Spa conditioner, ACV and IC Fantasia Gel. I'm also Mixtress (I love making my own hair concoctions :glasses9:)

I'm gonna say Fantasia IC too. However, it doesn't work for me if my hair is dripping wet. The smoothing works better if it's more on the damp side.
Thick coarse 3c/4a prone to dryness.

    Aphogee 2 Step treatment
    Generic Biolage Conditioning Balm
    Tigi MM Conditioner
Creme of Nature Shampoo for dry hair
    KCCC
    Denman D3
    Giovanni Direct Leave-in
    SheaMoisture Leave-in

I also agree that Fantasia IC works well.... as does Ecostyler for me. The trick is to tie it down with a scarf for 30 to 45 minutes to get the flyaways to obey. HTH

I think I want to try the Ecostyler gel -- Motowngirl gives it a strong recommendation and it seems to be very inexpensive. When it comes to gel I need the most bang for my buck :laughing9:

My mother uses eco styler. I might try it when I go home. I actually tried the PM the Conditioner under my FIC and had great results and even better 2nd and 3rd day hair. However, PM has cones in it and that worries me.

Yaaay Eco Styler!! I'm on 3rd day hair with this stuff. Today I just put a little water & fluffed. I was thinking about Henna-ing today but what for?!? My hair is holding up just fine.. Maybe I'll henna tomorrow :happy2: Who knows.. Its too cold up here to be playing in my hair.. What if I get 4th & 5th day hair?!? That would be hot...

I did not know they had different kinds of EcoStyler. I got the clear gel and it works wonderfully -- I just have to learn to not be so heavy handed with products, I'm using way too much gel.

I use Fantasia IC, now. But when my hair was shorter, I used Wet & Wavy gel. I found it a my local BSS. It's heavier than Fantasia and was great for the short unrulies.
