My hair changes pattern from crown to tip

in Hair Type 4
Does anyone else have that?
I would describe my hair as 3c at the nape, 4a in the middle and 4b in the front. But from the crown to tip, my hair progresses from wavy to curly. I have been natural for almost 4 years so I know all the relaxed or processed ends are gone.
I can't figure out if the waves are just weighed down curls or what. The curls look cute, especially in puffs, but they are the reason my hair tangles so quickly (the waves clump in different groups than the curls).
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?
Thanks!

The front is loose and wavy, the crown is sort of straight-ish and the nape and back are kinky.
My hair is crazy but I love it. I've learned tricks of the trades for helping it to blend in (i.e.rake and smooth works like a charm

My hair is tight 4a coils on the sides and back, looser softer 4a coils at the nape, wavy 4a in front, 4b at the crown, and a little bit of silky 3c strands scattered across the top and front. I don't try to get it to look uniform, I just let it do it's thing :hippy2:

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
I have learned to deal with the different types of hair spread out on my head, but how is it different within the same STRAND.
How bizarre. But you said exactly what I wanted to say in the OP.
Does that mean anything? Is it a moisture thing?

The sides of my hair is the worse as far as curl pattern, it is more 4A s-curls and fuzzy. The crown is 4A as well, but more kinky and does not really curls, but is wavy. The front is 3C and is s-curls with corkscrews at the ends of the curls. The nape is 3B corkscrews with random 3C coils.
I would love for it to either be all coils or all corkscrews and either all 3C or 4A. I can deal with the s-curls, coils, and corkscrews. But I am not feeling those waves at all. Sorry, but I am not too fond of wavy on me. Give me the curls girls!!
So trust me, you're not the only one dealing with 15 personalities of curls on one head.
