Am I doing something wrong? It seems that my hair is shedding alot. I usually wet my hair in the shower with cond. and when I detangle with my fingers (raking) I have a hand full of hair. Even when I apply product and run my fingers through my hair it falls out. HELLPPPP!!!!

it could be a couple of different things. it could be hormones(my hair shed excessively for 2years after i had my baby) or your hair may be in need of protein and moisturizing tx. also do you detangle from the bottom upwards?

Hair has natural stages of rest, growth and shedding. So it kinda depends on your hair, i think my hair sheds more than average though. i try to do protein tx twice a month and deep cond. 2-3times a week.

My best friend came over my house the other day to do her hair. She told me that she was experiencing extreme shedding (she's a 2b) and it was starting to worry her. I did a protein treatment with ApHOGEE Treatment for Damaged Hair and when I rinsed it out, deep conditioned it, only a few strands of hair was in the comb. I even accused her of lying to me LOL That was a week ago and her hair is not shedding anymore.

I don't know if your hair problem is due to lack of vitamins, you use the curling iron or flat iron, etc. I'm not sure. Can you tell us your daily regimen? Maybe we can help you out.

Your hair may not be truly detangled by just raking with fingers. Try gently detangling with conditioner in wet hair using a wide toothed comb. I have the one below and it's available click here

Also what condtioner are you using? Maybe use one for washing and a richer more detangling one for detangling.

ITA with above protein treatment is good. Nexxus Emergencee is the one I use (once every 5-6 weeks).

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.

Well, I don't really have a daily regimen....maybe that's my problem. I use Suave Coconut Condtioner in the shower to detangle with my fingers everyday. I shampoo wash about every 2-3 weeks with Creame of Nature detangling shampoo. I style with IC Fantasia gel and longaid curl activator. I think that's about it. Those are the products I use the most.
