Well, I was thinking "famous" on a broader stage, but we COULD do a spin-off of all the NCers who have internal fame... Dia, Amneris, NetG, GuardianB...

So far I haven't managed to scare up Nicole Kidman or Melina Kanakaredes...

how do you suggest they answer? Once they out themselves I wonder how comfortable they'd feel.

Bernadette Peters, is that really you? :)

That's why it's an anonymous poll! Look, we have one famous person already... now we can all speculate on who it is!

I'm definately not famous, but almost everyone I meet has already heard about me.

I guess it's hard not to hear about a girl named Fido. I guess.

I'm in a regional commercial (so it's uncredited), and I wrote and recorded voiceovers for a series of educational CDs for K-6th grade, but that's about the extent of my fame.

    ...So far. hee!

Well, I'm really Halle Berry, and the pictures you see of "Amneris" are really my beautiful younger cousin of whom I was jealous for most of my life.

Well, we've got 7 "yes" votes. Can we assume at least a portion of them are real? Minnie Driver, is that you?

Yes, but only in my mind.

And I'm apparently getting to be known in feminist circles as "the Engineer." Very funny when you go meet someone who works for a large name in Congress and upon hearing their name they say "Oh, so YOU'RE Annette? You're the engineer!"

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if some famous curlyheads have at least come across this board at some point! Whether or not they're the ones who answered "yes" to this poll will remain a mystery. :?

IF you happened to live in NYC and were into going out to hear broken beat/deep house between the years 1998 and 2004, then yes, I am famous! People on the street or at a restaurant would come up to me, "You're DJ Vanessa!". I loved it when it happened while I was on a date! It felt great to be appreciated. That's what it felt like. And I got a little press here and there and some people who'd never actually heard me spin would recognize me.

As to "real" famous people, nationally famous, I bet some have stopped by. If you do a search for "curly hair" this site always comes up. Whether any of them post regularly though, who knows?
