Expiration Date?

do at-home highlighting kits expire?

i have a couple of boxes of some at home highlighting stuff, and neither box has an expiration date on it..

does this stuff expire? and if so after how long?

both boxes have been kept in the under sink area..

Thanks :P

Good question, I have some laying around too. I would call the company and read them the code (if there is one). They should be able to tell you.

 Hey puppet master, I'm not self-proclaimed --(CurlieGlamourGirl gave me the title) ;) and I don't proclaim to be the expert in expirations! :P pllll! I know that RC Color lasts forever if kept sealed and away.

What brand is it anyway? I have the kit from RC's site.

it's just some cheap stuff i bought at cvs a while ago.. i never used it, because i went ahead and forked over the money for professional highlights.. maybe i'll just open the boxes and see if the contents have expiration dates :P

Check the bottles inside, they may say. But as long as it's a year or less, I'd think they'd be OK. :)

Nah, I call companies about that kind of stuff. Often, you get coupons and stuff for calling! ;)

i called the company.. they told me that the products have a three year shelf life and then she asked for the code on the bottom of the box and told me when the product was made..

I'm glad you got that settled. :) Can you use them then? Hope so. Are you going to highlight? :)

they're still both good.. i want to try to use them.. i'm nervous about screwing up, but i know in the past i've used the same stuff and the color has been nice..

i think i'm going to try to get my husband to help me in a couple of weeks and we'll highlight :)
