What earrings go best with curly hair?

When I am out I usually wear my hair out, with the sides up in a ponytail or with a headband, so that the sides are away from my face. My hair length is bra strap length and maybe a little below that now.

Ok, I have a weird question, what kind of earrings do you guys think looks best with long curly hair?

I have started getting back in the habit of wearing earrings and have been using pearl or diamond studs but I am starting to think that they don't suit my long curly hair. I have seen lots of curly haired girls in my area lately with hoops and I am thinking that maybe hoops or something with some length would suit my hair length and curlie-ness (my hair is mostly 3a with some 3b). What do you guys think? Thanks.

Oh, I was searching online and I found this.

I like some form of pretty dangly earrings or larger hoops when the sides of my hair are pulled back off of my face. When my hair is down, I don't worry about it too much because you can't see my ears anyway.

I'm a hoop gal, myself. I think you can't go wrong with some gold hoops. And they're a little like curly hair care products - you can never have too many!

It depends on my mood, but I tend to favor hoops. If my hair is pulled back and showing my ears, I usually wear hoops or dangly earrings. :queen:

Gold Hoops if hair is left long,
Diamond studs if it is pulled back. IMO, can never go wrong with either

I have studs, "dangles" & hoops. I think they all look good.

Thanks, question, how big should the diamond studs be? The ones I have seem to disappear when I wear my hair down, even with my hair pulled back.

I wear all kinds of earrings and usually pick something I think matches what I am wearing. I think with longer hair, especially if you DON"T pull it back, you can get by with larger more funky styles because smaller earrings have a tendency to get lost in lots of hair.

I am sooo all about big earings! I have short curly hair and I think large earrings just display my curly girl personality the best. Avoid ones that are to heavy or snag in your hair. But ultimately wear what you feel the most attractive in.

I have to agree. It's what you like & feel comfortable in.

My above comment was not intended to mean if you have short hair you should not wear large earrings. I just mean if you have longer hair and feel "funny" about wearing large earrings, you can probably pull it off.

(I was going to post a pic and/or link of some earrings I own, but I can't seem to get it to work from the website I want link. OH well.)

I have diamond studs and diamond hoops that I wear together (2 holes in each ear) and they look great when I have my hair pulled back. The hoops, together with the studs, make everything show up more since my studs are just 1/4 carat each.

When I wear my hair curly, I prefer studs or small hoops. I've seen women wear big hoops with curly hair, and it looks fine. For me, though, it's too much. I'm a short person, and I prefer petite jewelry. I have a couple pairs of large hoops, but I only wear them when my hair is straightened.

I wear any kind of earrings. Usually though, I wear the silver "continuous" hoops from claire's b/c they are fairly small and I have to wear 5 pair plus one in my tragus. This way I can run my finger up and down the 5 pairs to play with them.

    Earrings are my signature jewelry.

I keep my hair covered now, so I just wear any earrings that suit my mood.

Before I was married and started covering my hair, I would usually wear my hair down, and my only consideration with earrings was whether or not I liked them.

Honestly, I think it depends on your personal style. If you're wearing a pair of earrings that suit your face and that you love, they'll look good no matter how you wear your hair. Just be warned that if you want your earrings to make a statement, you have to tuck your hair back so that it doesn't obscure the earrings.

I think it often depends more on your face than your hair, but there are some that I think would look good regardless of the shape of your face.

Whenever I put my hair in a ponytail and need to wear earrings that aren't too dangly I wear these: /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.boscovs.com%2FStoreFrontWeb%2FProduct.bos%3Fquantity%3D1%26amp%3BitemNumber%3D102060%26amp%3Btype%3DProduct" class="Popup
in gold.... Whenever people notice them they say "wow! Your earrings match your hair" :) Also, I think that very long straight earrings can provide a very cool visual contrast to curly hair (but they have to have some body to them, not just be strings).
