Long Bob hairstyle - what does it look like curly?

My 3b (some c) hair is somewhat easier to deal with when shorter in the winter... but its always hard to cut off that hard-worked-for curly length...

i have finally grown out a lot of damaging color and I'm also doing this to get rid of that....... and I am wondering if anyone has this hairstyle (one length, with a long sideswept bang...)

I know what it looks like when straight (see images below) but what does this look like when curly? Does anyone have this cut and has a pic of what they look like when its not straightened?

3b, and increasingly c pieces... my curls will always be a little confused, but that is just fine!

I have a curly bob, but it is a lot more layered with no distinct bangs. Pics are in my fotki.

Shellynot - you have such beautiful hair!

sunday-- thanks a lot! i looked at your fotki, same to you and then some about beautiful hair!!

i wouldn't really consider my hair to be a bob, but i think it was when i first got it cut, and its about 2 inches longer now. i think "long" is the key word in long bob, here.

Sunday - how do you get the lift at the back of your crown like that? I have a similar haircut but I can't get the lift. And you have such perfectly shaped ringlets. What are you using and do you do anything special to make them curl that way?

    This is My cut

I am trying to grow mine out to a longer bob. Not quite as long as the pictures shown but longer than current length.

    Thanks!

After I wash (sometimes), I use conditioner (usually one C), leave a little bit in, flip upside down and add [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/AG-Recoil-p-24.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=ag-hair-cosmetics-recoil-curl-activator]re:coil[/buylink]. Then I fingercomb it through and wrap my hair in a T-shirt for a few minutes. Then I add gel ([buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/DevaCare-Arc-AnGell-p-567.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=devacurl-devacare-arc-angell]arc angell[/buylink] or aveda brilliant retexturizing gel) and twist my hair into spirals. I let it dry until it is crunchy and finish with a diffuser.

RNC- I have a ton of layers cut at the top, b/c if not, I end up with a triangle head. The twisting is what really forms the curl.

    sorry for the guano confusedcurl

I just recently started on Elucence poo and condish and really like them. As for styling, I leave in some Oyin honey-hemp condish (and sometimes Juice&berries, depending on the weather/position of the stars), rake a small puddle of CK, and scrunch in a blob of HE SMU. I've also gotten into the habit of scrunching SiF onto my ends while they're wet, but I don't know if that actually does anything for me. :x It's really humid out today, but my hair just dried and it's really really soft and defined. I'm pleased.

    I'm thinking about getting highlights..?

Hmm...maybe I'll have to bust out my SMU.

I have been highlighting my hair forever. The problem is the upkeep and they're a pain to grow out if you don't like them.

    Sunday and RedNaturalCurls:

I love your guys' hair and am actually taking pics of you to my hair stylist. I want a bob! Is there anything specific you asked for when you got your hair cut, anything you can tell me that I should request? (other than make my hair look wonderful like these gals')

I ask for long layers cut through the bottom. I also make sure to ask that my layers blend together so that they don't end up step - like. Good luck!

My hair is what my stylist called a stacked bob. It has also been called an angled bob. The back of my hair is super short at the nape of the neck, maybe 1/2" and gets progressively longer going towards the crown. I have to keep the back in shorter layers because it tends to lay really flat right at the crown. The front is done in longer layers but somehow it blends together well.

Thanks for the replies! It's gonna be a couple weeks yet before I go to see my stylist, but I'm so grateful to have you guys as inspiration. I knew I wanted something different but I couldn't articulate it.
