Too Shea or Elucence MB

Ok ladies, I'm in the market for a new conditioner. I've narrowed it down to two and I can't decide so I need your help. The things most important to me in a conditioner are good slip, moisture, and some help in the frizz department.

So what do you think? [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Too-Shea-Extra-Moisturizing-Conditioner-p-105.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-too-shea-extra-moisturizing-conditioner]Too Shea[/buylink] or [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Elucence-Moisture-Balancing-Conditioner-p-39.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=elucence-elucence-moisture-balancing-conditioner]Elucence Moisture Balancing[/buylink]?

I'm going to try and create a poll for the first time so hopefully this works.

I voted other for Robert Craig conditioner. I'm starting to think that this is my holy grail. I have tried [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Too-Shea-Extra-Moisturizing-Conditioner-p-105.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-too-shea-extra-moisturizing-conditioner]Too Shea[/buylink] and I keep it in my rotation. I have never tried Elucence.

Welcome to Robert Craig!!! Hopefully, you will enjoy it as well. When I first started using RC, I had to use a lot as a leave-in. Now that I have been using it for several months, my hair is in better condition and I don't have to use as much.

I recently took a trip and only took 3 oz with me. It lasted the week, and I had still had a little less than half of bottle remaining.

I have used Elucence. At first it was OK, then my hair started to frizz badly (didn't help that I had a bad haircut, but it caused frizz before the bad haircut). I had to stop using it.

I just adore RC. It is great for daily conditioner washings and as a leave-in. I can just use RC as a leave-in with no gel and have a great hair day. If I were forced to have ONE hair product, it would be RC. And you can't beat that the shipping charge is only $5 for an unlimited amount of bottles, and the shipping is fast.

    Keep us updated.

My PJ is perking up over the RC condish, grrrr.

It can be used as a co-wash AND leave-in?

Is it protein free (just checked the ingredients and can't tell) and may I assume it CG? Just might have to try it AFTER I run out of one of my current condish! :bounce:

Hmmm... I am not sure if it CG. I don't think it has cones. Not sure about proteins. I just know that it works really well for my hair. I just adore it even though I have to order it.

    Robert Craig ingredients:

INGREDIENTS: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate , Glycerin, Panthenol, Phytantriol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Juniperus Communis Fruit Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Geranium Maculatum Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Extract, Propylene Glycol, Hair Keratin Amino Acids, Polyquaternium-7, Sodium Chloride, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Fragrance, Red 33, Yellow 5.

I am protein sensitive and I no-poo and cowash w/suave and I have no problems with build up or dryness now. (the proteins are very low on the list = Hair keratin amino acids)

Please buy some. If he ever goes out of business I will hang myself.

I like EMBC, but I love Robert Craig. Don't worry about the peppermint, there is absolutely no tingle (I didn't even know it was there until someone pointed it out). This is my gold standard condish. Only one I like a tiny bit better (but too expensive) is John Masters Organics Citrus/Neroli detangler (I find the smell incredible and it's even more slippery if that's possible)

ETA -- it can be used as a co-wash and leave-in

Laurabeth deserves all the credit for RC. Without her conditioner chronicles I would never have picked it up.

Ooh, I didn't realize RC could be used as a leave in too. I'm getting very excited about this.
For those that use it as a leave in, do you apply it separately when styling your hair or do you just not rinse it all out while in the shower?

First I wet my hair, then apply maybe 2 tablespoons to conditioner wash. Rinse with cool water. Blot with t-shirt type material, then reapply 2 tablespoons or more and finger comb through hair. Right now, my hair is rather short.

I adore RC conditioner....have I said that lately??? :bom:

I apply separately because I don't like leaving conditioner on my scalp.

I'm new at the whole ingredients thing. I read the ingredients for Elucence before ordering and thought it was OK to use on my protein sensitive hair. What are the proteins in this conditioner that I didn't recognize? I've used it a couple of times and I like it but this was also the case w/Abba Nourishing when I tried it for the first time. It eventually started to dry my hair out.

I just leave most of it in. (My hair is very thirsty).
