Jessicurl worked great for a couple of days...now what ?

I was using Jessicurl rocking Ringlets and [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Confident-Coils-Styling-Solution-p-116.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-confident-coils-styling-solution]confident coils[/buylink] styling lotion for almost a week and my hair was looking and feeling pretty good . Now it's starting to look less defined and kinda dry. i see from reading the other posts that I'm not alone in this. my question is, do i keep them and use them once a week, alternating with some other product ? Or do i have to accept that there is something in them that my hair doesn't like, and thus swap them? i just got a new bottle of RR because I was feeling confident,. Dam me !!

i'm thinking change in weather/environment may have something to do with products working then not working, and maybe the hair getting use to a particular product. in my opinion, i think it is a good idea to rotate products every now and then.

ITA with the above about rotating them. My hair doesn't like too much magesium sulfate or oil so I can't use the Jessicurl styling products on a regular basis, but if I use them once in awhile, I get good results.

I had the same problem with her stuff, but it turned out to be the proteins for me. :(

I have found that for any of the products to work long term you have to rotate them. I try not to use the same product 2 days in a row. I will, however, freely admit that I am a TOTAL product junkie. I have more lines than many stores carry ! In all seriousness though, I found that if I didn't rotate what I used, eventually it stopped working all together.
Type: 3a fine & dense, with normal porosity, terrible product junkie
ROUTINE: LI, enhancer, gel, plop with Curlease towel, serum product (either CIAB or Gel-les'c), clip & diffuse.
Too many favourite products to list ... I finally have my routine that works and alot of products to choose from. My product stash is huge, but well loved !!!

Your hair is constantly changing, so one particular product isn't always going to work for you (unless you are one of the lucky few). Don't give up on them ... just change them up with something else you like and you should be fine :)

I've never used the products mentioned in the original post; I actually have been using the same products for a year and they work just fine for me. But I agree w/ Marybeth that when the weather drastically changes, you have to change your products. That is probably the issue, or it could be that they don't agree with your hair (maybe proteins like someone else mentioned).
