what to do with my locks?

I'm at a loss with what to do with my hair at the moment. I think my hair is either a 2 a or b depending on the day. The humidity is my worst enemy - makes my hair look like cotton candy. In the past couple of months, I went from hair down the middle of my back to about an inch above my shoulders. I was going for a 'bob' .. but find I look like a triangle / mushroom right now. Any ideas. When I asked the stylist for some clues, she suggested lots of layers ... UGH - NO thanks. I want to look like I have a hair style, rather than a frizzy triangle on my head ! :afro:
Type: 3a fine & dense, with normal porosity, terrible product junkie
ROUTINE: LI, enhancer, gel, plop with Curlease towel, serum product (either CIAB or Gel-les'c), clip & diffuse.
Too many favourite products to list ... I finally have my routine that works and alot of products to choose from. My product stash is huge, but well loved !!!

Are you your own worse critic..:) I am. Post some pictures, I'll bet it's not as awful as you believe it to be.

I would suggest hair accessories to get you over the with mini claw clips, bobbie pins, etc. When I'm frustrated with my curls I'll pull back the front pieces (leave a couple of curls to hang right in front) into a little twist or separate twists on the top of my head. If I'm really frustrated I'll make pig tails, head bands are fun, too. Part it on the side and braid the "bang" piece in front and tuck behind ear hmmmm,

Do you use gel or CK to keep the frizzies at bay? Wish I could do more to help.

I'm still having hair shape issues. If it doesn't hang right, I usually use a hair band at the front, or one of those scarf/headbands, or tie a scarf in a similar manner. I also sometimes get the front cornrowed or flat twisted, with the back loose which makes for a pretty style, completely disguising the ugly shape.
