I'm over a month CG now, but i still haven't noticed any progress yet. Maybe it is because i hate the length of my hair, i can't wait till it grows a couple of inches. I'm just not a short-haired person, I feel like i'm 40 years old.

My hair never looked as good as when i was using the curls rock amplifier.

I need some inspiration!!!!

I just looked at your fotki and your pre-CG curls looked great. Why not go back to what works for you?

Yomini - CG is not about strict rules to follow. CG is about getting your hair into the best shape it can be in! If you hate it, then maybe you need to modify. I loved CG at first. It really whipped my hair into shape. As soon as I was fully moisturized, though, I didn't like it anymore. I realize now that I need a shampoo at least once a week. My hair is bouncier on poo! So, I'm modified. If I feel dry, I just CO wash for a while. If I feel weighed-down and gunky, I shampoo. Just find what your hair likes - THAT is the ultimate goal here!
    I'm a 3b, with 3c underneath.

Used to be CG, now I'm not. Using Suave Aloe & Waterlily shampoo & condish, JoiWhip, BRHG, Suave Aloe gel, Aussie Tizz No Frizz, and anything else that looks good!

    Thanks for the tip curlyjenn!!

It's just that my hair is so dry! I don't think a shampoo will help to moisturize my hair. I think i'll just stick with it for a while, and see if it works.. if it doesn't.. well than it just doesn't!!!

You don't have to follow a strict set of rules-just keep experimenting until you find something that works for you. Even if I 'poo once a week, my hair gets dry and poufy, so I just co-wash now, and it's great :) I even went the other day with no styling products-just co + leave in co., and I got so many compliments on the way my hair looked-it was very soft too. You could try just using a sulfate-free 'poo and see if that works for you. I know how it is to have short hair when you're used to wearing it long. Most of my life, I have had at least waist-length hair, but due to an "accident" at Hair Cuttery, I had to cut my hair to just above shoulder length. My hair was healthy, but short hair just isn't me. I felt like a part of me was missing. I'm still growing it out, and now it's bra strap length with shorter layers in the front. it's hard, but just be patient, and take Biotin. Your hair will be long before you know it!

Hair normally grows about 1/2 per month, and there is nothing to really speed that up. Everyday stresses and such cause your hair not to grow to its fullest potential..Biotin encourages your hair to grow to it's fullest potential. After I started taking Biotin people noticed my hair getting longer. Scalp massages can help too, because it stimulates the follicles.

This is what I meant when I said why not go back to your Curls Rock Amplifier. curlyjenn worded it much better. :)

I heard you have to take 5,000 micrograms in order to make a difference, but look on the bottle and look for how much it says to take. You don't have to worry about OD'ing on biotin, since your body just eliminates the excess that it can't use.
