How long is too long?

I am growing my hair out, I'm conditioning it a whole bunch, doing the CG method and taking prenatal vitamins, hoping for some serious growth. When it's curly and dry it's about shoulder blade length in the back, when it's wet it's mid back. I'm just going to grow it out until it starts looking too long for my taste. Is there such a thing as "too long" when it comes to hair, does it depend on the person?

It's different for everyone, depending on one's general look, lifestyle, facial structure, type of curls, etc.
For some folks, the hair might look great at a particular length, but it is too much hassle to take care of, or she might not mind the maintenance, but the look isn't right for her. As the saying goes, YMMV.
But one thing to keep in mind for us curlies, depending on the type of curl and the thickness(amount)and texture(fine, medium, or coarse), the "right" length may be where your curls show in all their glory. Some folks lose their curl when it gets below shoulder-length, for some it gets curlier the longer it gets. On the other hand, someone with very heavy hair that has a looser curl pattern to begin with might be at their curliest length above the shoulders and layered well(good cut, not just some chop-job by someone who doesn't know squat about curly hair!).

I would say anything past the belly button is too long. It just looks weird on some people. The longest I would go is a few inches past BSL. In my opinion, it's disgusting when someone is sitting on their hair or it's dragging on the floor. Most people get scraggly ends when their hair is that long too. (ew)

I'm at waist length, and I'm going for hip bone when stetched other than that,I don't think I could handle much more than that. Then, again I don't think I could ever cut my hair again,I made that mistake back in 1997 when it was at waist length and I cut it up to a short bob. It's totally up to your preference though.
