DaVinci code spinoff- if Jesus had been married ...

Would it change your faith/belief system? (assuming you are Christian)

According to the DaVinci Code story (at least what I saw on History Channel) , Jesus and Mary Magdalen were husband and wife, and she was one of his most trusted companions. She was not a prostitute, but only given that descriptor several centuries later by a Pope. At Jesus's cruxifiction, she was pregant with his daughter, and quicky taken to Egypt then to Gaul (France) where the daughter presumably passed the bloodline on.

Yeah - cause that is what every woman needs...He has been told his whole life that he is God's gift

I didn't understand your second option. I haven't read the book, but there is nothing in the Bible that states that Jesus was or was not married. So, this "finding" wouldn't negate the Bible, just historical assumption of Jesus' singleness.

I really wouldn't care except I would wish God had ordained to leave those details in so I'd have more Scriptural advice on how the perfect husband should act.

I don't think He was married, though. He came to be the husband to the church, and we are His bride. That doesn't mean he couldn't have been, I just don't think He was.

    .

The second option was more about having some sort of physical proof that something in the Scripture was removed or intentionally falsified; or some other finding that was more tangible evidence that Jesus wasn't the person many of us believed he was.

I hope that explains it more.

If it were indeed proven, it would probably draw me closer to the Christian faith. He would be more accessible to me.
