i made a unrefined shea butter and castor oil mixture, i'm so excited to use it on my hair. What would be the best way to moisturize? Should my hair be wet or dry? How do you ladies moisturize?

That sounds interesting. An overnight pre-poo treatment (under a plastic cap or in twists) comes to mind. Or use a thin film to pat/scrunch on your wet ends.

I wouldn't use castor oil, but I always use products on wet hair.

I apply my DT on dry hair, work a comb through it and sleep over night OR apply to dry hair 20 minutes before I shampoo.

I do pre-shampoo deep treatments. Wet hair, apply conditioner, put up into shower cap with a towel on top. Wait 15 minutes, rinse, shampoo, and condition.
