What is you Holy Grail of hair gel?

I am a 2 d to c and I am seeking the rock my socks off gel. I use [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curly-Hair-Solutions-Curl-Keeper-p-28.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=curly-hair-solutions-curl-keeper]Curl Keeper[/buylink] and I really am pleased with the results. I have also tried [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Rockin-Ringlets-Styling-Potion-p-100.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-rockin-ringlets]Rockin ringlets[/buylink] and CC, but I was a newbie then and wasn't coating my hair well enough to appreciate them (I think). My waves get sloppy and droopy & the gel seems to help to hold the curl.
2's out there....what is your gel of choice? Is it a mousse? Spray gel or other delivery?

I was a lover of Aussie's Gel&Water and the lighter version too, but they discontinued them both - WAH! :sad11:

I still use Aussie Texture gel - it is between the two - but I really liked having a hard hold and soft hold option. Sigh. I do use Aussie's Mousse sometimes as well, but not often.

I think you're my hair twin. :laughing9: I'm using Herbal Essences Set me up gel right now and it's okay. I have some aveda flax seed aloe gel coming, and can't wait to try it.

I meant to say what is YOUR holy grail...etc.
    DUH, oops!

Katina? Who's your twin? ME? I think your color is so pretty and I think you have more curl than I.

Yep, I was talking about you. I might have a smidge more curl some days, but not all the time. Our color looks similar, too, unless it is the picture making your hair look red. Thank you for the compliments!

I don't feel like I've found my "holy grail" gel (or similar) yet. But, I'm getting my best results with Jowhip (mousse) - as far as hold and curl. I just wish I could tame my frizz more.

I've been liking Biotera firm hold (from Sally's) paired with LOOB. I'm not sure the Biotera has enough hold for me on it's own, but I really like how thin it is. I can even smooth it over dry hair to refresh without diluting it.

I'm a wavy and can get nice curls with CK (a dollop for frizz busting) 3 puddles of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Gelebration-Spray-p-101.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-gelebration-spray]Gelebration[/buylink] and 2 puddles of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Confident-Coils-Styling-Solution-p-116.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-confident-coils-styling-solution]CCSS[/buylink] (am a Jessicurl fan these days). If I want extra clumping I add Pink Boots, just a dab rubbed between my hands and applied on the ends. For curl hold, I spray set me up in my hands and apply. I use either boots or smu never both. HTH

Edit: Duh, to answer the original question, I haven't ever been able to find just one product that does everything.

Another edit: I think I may have found my HG of gels (drum roll) it's Sebastian's Hi-Contrast...it's lovely, offers good hold, great curl formation, volume, no frizz and it's CG!

I really like got2b Spiked Up gel. It controls frizz well, has no parabens, rarely flakes, and hair remains soft if you leave a little conditioner under it. :dwarf:

I have a kinda red ash blond. I just uploaded new pics...I might be a 3A soon if the curls keep coming :love1:

The hair concoction du jour was a winner.....Lo-poo and then I did a Kiehl's Olive Fruit Hair Pak for 20 minutes with a baggie and a hot towel over it. My hair was like butter! Keihl's Leave-in, lots of CK, and a couple of palmfuls of Garnier mousse, plop for 10 minutes and defused dry in 3 sections. Defusing makes better curls for me, no noodles!

I have RR & [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Confident-Coils-Styling-Solution-p-116.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-confident-coils-styling-solution]CCSS[/buylink] on order already the small bottles to test drive again. Tomorrow I try my new Ana Banana shampoo, it's for kids, but I bought it for me....I'll be 50 next month. :cat:
