I do this on 2nd day hair at night usually the day after I wash. Hair gets damp but dries before I go to bed. for bed, I tie it back gently in a loose scunci to sleep and fluff it out in the morning -- frizz free and unshrunken. I shower with a shower cap and let the steam have at it. Then scrunch in a few sprays of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/DevaCurl-Set-it-Free-p-259.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=devacurl-set-it-free]Devacurl Set it Free[/buylink]+pomade rubbed in palms before fluffing. Don't know what your hair texture or length is, but it's a good technique for my 4a medium short hair; and protective too.
Thanks for the links; I had a look at your hair. Maybe I didn't look at the right photos, but why weigh it down? In the short shots it's looking very nice maybe needs some curl enhancement and moisture. Have you tried leaving in your conditioner?
