Jessicurl question

I recently bought the fine haired jessicurl sample kit. I just wanted to say I am complete dissappointed. My hair is super frazzled and stringy which was how it was before. I was hoping jessicurl would make it plump up and moisturize it. Now for some reason it feels like straw. Do these products have proteins in them?
I followed the instuctions in the pamplet like plopping. I dont diffuse because it frazzles my hair.
Anyone else have probs with jessicurl?

I have similar problems with any product containing magnesium sulfate. I also get stringy, limp hair with Jessicurl products - my hair doesn't like the oils.

I feel your pain and frustration. I could probably retire today if I had all the money I've spent looking for the perfect hair products! :cussing:

I don't think my hair likes the products either and I know how you feel -- spending money on something that doesn't work! Frustrating to say the least.
I can't use any of the styling stuff - I get greasy, limp hair AND straw like.
I think the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Aloeba-Daily-Conditioner-p-104.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-aloeba-daily-conditioner]Aloeba[/buylink] is too oily for my hair too. At first my hair liked it and then after a week, YUCK!!!
I'm not sure on the GLS yet.

I have found that trying to "plump" my hair with products (with the exception of mousses) is the wrong way to go for me. The trick for me is conditioner. With the right conditioner, I can get clumpier, fuller, bouncier, curlier curls. I do use [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Aloeba-Daily-Conditioner-p-104.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-aloeba-daily-conditioner]Jessicurl Aloeba[/buylink] as a leave in. It is a WONDERFUL leave in.

I, too, recently received the light Jessicurl sample pack and 4 the last 2 weeks, I've been enjoying the gelabration, cc and awe spray (in fact I ordered the larger bottles just a few days ago), the combination makes my waves, wavier and I get a bit of curl if I pay attention to the scrunching at the beginning and the pixiecurl diffusing I do for volume. I haven't had any problem with frizz tho I use CK before I apply the rest. God bless CK.

I tried the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Aloeba-Daily-Conditioner-p-104.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-aloeba-daily-conditioner]Aloeba[/buylink] as a leave in yesterday and it was a little to heavy / greasy for my hair, liked it as a daily co tho. I also had good results with the gentle later poo, but I have EMBS to use up before I make another poo purchase! I'm sorry the fine line didn't work for you.

Thanks for the input once again.
ACH what do you use for your conditioner? maybe ill try [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Aloeba-Daily-Conditioner-p-104.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-aloeba-daily-conditioner]aloeba[/buylink] as a leave in I am not too impressed with it in the shower.
I laughed at the gel. I need a strong hold because my hair likes to frazzle its really good at it and tangling omg. I dont think i will ever get it not to tangle. With that spray gel my hair was kinda like what is this?
And I didnt find the conditioners very moisturizing at all.
I also like the moptop shampoo much better than the jessicurl shampoo.
Oh well at least i know what my hair doesnt like lol.

CurlyQ2, are you CG? If not, I can recommend Pravana's curl enhancing gel, it's got a polyquat that need a cleanser to wash out, but it's excellent for curl definition and hold.

I can't remember what all comes in the sample kit, but the conditioners (but not the DT) do have hydrolized oat flour. It's a tiny amount, but some protein sensitive folks do notice it.
