Dr. Scholl's Exercise Sandals

SpringcurlSpringcurl Posts: 8,002Registered Users
Now that my body's started rebelling against... well, itself, I can no longer wear heels. I'm wee (5'1, 5'2 if I stretch it). Anyway, it's disappointing, but since it actually hurts I have no choice but to stop.

I happen to love the Dr. Scholl's wooden sandal. I've picked them up in pink and black and I want to get white, too.

What do you think about them for you?

Hey! I had two more options that didn't come out:

[ ] Wooden Shoes? Too Danish!

    [ ] Too '70s. I'd never wear them.

I love them. I've lived in them on and off since I was in junior high. I need a new pair - I used to get a new pair every summer but the last few summers other sandals have been wooing me away so this pair has lasted me about 5 years!

Remember back in the day when you could pick them up at the drug store?

Ha! I totally rocked a pair of navy blue ones when I was a kid.

    Yep!

And my dad ALWAYS said, "I could make you a pair of those! Why do you have to pay $15.50 for them?" :D

I love the look of them, very retro.

I was never allowed to have a pair of them. To this day, my mom still bends shoes before trying them on, to make sure they're flexible.

I was never allowed to have a pair of them.

When I was 12 I was so jealous of my cousin Aimee. She was skinny and blonde and modeled. BUT, she wasn't allowed to have Dr. Scholl's and I was. How I loved that!

I could never wear wooden shoes. I need better shock absorption for my lousy knees. It doesn't look like that shoe has much of an arch support either. I have flat feet too. I sound like my mother now. Getting old bites.

oddly enough, i think the line is super cute...but i find the wooden part uncomfy and the plastic-y texture of the strap irritating.

Exactly! I had a pair when I was young, but they never *did* anything for me. Maybe *that's* why I have knee problems now?! Hard and flat doesn't work for me. I have very high arches.

I remember breaking in a new pair (more like breaking in my feet) every spring.

YES! I remember buying them in the drugstore. Takes me back to my college days . . . . 8)

I bought a pair a few years ago and they tore up my feet.

I love them, I have a pair of red ones I break out when the weather warms up. I think it comes from my mother not letting me wear them when I was a kid. 'You'll break your ankle!'

I love Dr. Scholl's! Those pink ones are adorable! I just bought this pair two weeks ago. I have no idea how much support they have.

Ha! I swear we had the same mom.

I have black ones that I love love love.

There's a short breaking in period but they are otherwise comfy!

The strap on mine isn't plastic. It is more like leather. And it stretches. I really think they are comfortable.
