Gel without glycerin?

Is there a gel that does not have glycerin and does a good job weighing hair down/stretch out the curl?

Glycerin is a curl enhancer for me. I have 3c hair.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I actually think it may be the wheat protein more than the glycerin.

I used the Aubrey Organics Mandarin Magic jelly a while ago but it flaked no matter how much I used. I did not like Angel as much to pay the price.

Still looking for another gel or perhaps wash more often to prevent glycerin and protein build-up because I noticed that on freshly washed hair I do not get shrinkage.

    Thank you for the advice.
