Need drugstore gel rec's

Spray gel seems to just make my hair frizzy. I wanted it to work out because I want to keep my hair voluminous, but the frizzy undefined waves isn't worth the volume.

So I'm looking for a regular drugstore gel that will not flatten down my hair, but rather enhance and define my waves and help control frizz.

protein free please!

    Herbal Essences Body Envy (in the orange tube) - my current favorite. Holds well, and provides shine.

    Herbal Essences Set Me Up (turquoise tube) - 2nd choice. Good curl formation & hold, but quite as much as with BE.

    Herbal Essences Totally Twisted (purple tube) - a tie for 2nd choice. I find I need to use more of this than the previous to in order to get sufficient hold, but still an all-around decent product.

    Hair Type: 3A/3B; natural color; mid-back length.
    Shampoo: Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus (2 - 3 times/week)
    Fave Rinse-Out Conditioners: HE Hello Hydration; Yes to Blueberries; GVP Conditioning Balm;
    Styling Routine: Squish-scrunch product /conditioner into soaking wet, upside down hair; plop for 10 minutes, air dry. (Diffuser dry front section.)
    Fave Styling Products: KCKT; Tigi Curl Amplifier Creme; Batia & Aleeza gel; Giovanni Sunset Styler; LA Looks Sport Gel.

    I second HE Body Envy. I never cared for SMU, but BE is excellent in my hair. If you want a lighter hold, I recommend l'oreal Studio Line Tightly Wound. It comes in a spray bottle, but I found it very hard to spray, so I pour it straight out of the bottle into my hand.
