Mascara Favorites

What mascara do you swear by? I am currently using Maybelline Great Lash which looks good in the morning, but by the end of the day looks clumpy and gross. I have $60 towards Sephora(!) and am looking forward to buying myself a good mascara.
Also, anyone try this eyeliner?

I have light lashes and hate trying to apply mascara to the lower lashes.

I highly recommend Kiss Me Mascara if you want a really good mascara. It takes practice to apply, but I love it. It's also expensive and I have to order it online, so I'm glad to find the less expensive Maybelline works fine.

But at least the pews never attend yoga!
how are you applying it??? that could be the secret. see my first column - May 2004 - for some advice!

Rouquinne,
I know that you probably have already started on next month's column, but at some point, I would be so grateful if you did an article on eye care. One that discusses the use of creams, gels, concealer, SPF, dark circles, etc. and maybe even makeup application. There is just so much information out there that I'm left pretty confused. Just a thought. 8)
...but I have Max Factor Stretch and Separate.

If I didn't have so much trouble with normal mascaras, I would use L'oreal Voluminous. The results really are impressive with that, and it's a good price.
Yep, I read your column and I have been following the advise pretty religiously. What kind of cloth do you use to wipe the mascara brush on? I have been using an old bandana lol, which may be too harsh.

Good question! There are so many mascaras out there that offer so much more. Great Lash did not impress me. Oh well.

i have this and it's great for washing off - however...
it's thin. you have to do 5 or 6 coats to get the same effect as with a regular mascara.
and, i don't know about you, cricket, but the smell of it bothers me a LOT!

costs WAY less and does just as good a job.
some people also use baby wipes - you can get generics of those for even less. but i'm usually wearing so much makeup every day that a product designed for makeup removal is better suited to my needs.
back on mascara for a second - the current campaigns at Avon Canada - and maybe in the US - have great deals on mascara, including the waterproof wash off one that cricket mentioned. for $1.99 Cdn, it is worth a try!

I suppose I can't judge you because you married a serviceman and it is wartime. Boo hoo. You must be loney sitting at home with nothing else to do but pick on people. Why don't you go masterbate again?
