Whose hair did you look to when you were a newbie, or now?

Usually whatever these ladies were doing or trying is what I would do.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.

When I first joined, I looked to internetchick because we have somewhat similar looking hair. But we were not product matches. :)

I also looked to suburbanbushbabe because her product suggestions are often of some use to me when I take out the protein stuff. I still look at products she likes and screen from there.

Other than that, I really don't look to anyone because my hair seems to just react differently than some others. I've just sort of gone off on my own with trial and error which seems to have been better. I will pay attention if a thread deals with curl enhancement or with not losing volume or clumping.

I do owe big props to thinfine for mentioning my two new sucessful conditioners. I probably would noy have found them without her post. I wish she posted more often! :)

ETA: By saying that I don't look to many now doesn't mean that there aren't plenty of curly heads that I admire. It's just that what works for many of them doesn't quite work for me.

gryantmarch2step (she's actually in my favorites - her curl pattern is so similar to mine - but mine doesn't look nearly as pretty - why oh why is that!?!). Looking at her albums has given me inspiration and stopped me from getting my hair cut numerous times.

Ladydncing & Medusa - both have hair similar to mine. When I first started out my hair looked more like Medusa's now it looks more like Ladydncing. I am now using One C because of them.

Considering i'm a newbie at the present moment,
These are the ladies in which i've admired the most when i started out here. I don't think i have similar hair to any of them, but they made me feel welcome and helped me with any questions i've had.

    For me, it would be

    Brio
    Babywavy
    Medusa
    Leilani42

Because they have pretty similar hair textures to mine.

Goodness, it's been forever since I read/posted on the hair board!

When I was a newbie, my curlspirations were probably Lush, Pixie, Babywavy, and Laurabeth.

I've even recently tried Pixie's trick of using no product but conditioner. (Do you still do that?) I'm kind of addicted! So cheap! So easy!
