Need help using glycerin

I ran out of my dry hair moisturizer (Abba Nourishing) so I mixed together some water, Carefree Gold Hair and Scalp Spray and glycerin. While this mixture leaves my hair extremely soft, it literally takes hours to dry...in the SUMMER.

Anybody have any recommendations on using glycerin so that it does still dry? This is the only reason I stopped using curl activator gels.
Currently using:

Poo: CON Sulfate Free poo
Rinse out: Tresemme Naturals
Leave-in: CJAOO Daily Cond
Styler: KCCC sparingly and Ampro Olive Oil Gel where needed
DT: KBB Lucious Locks Mask + EVOO/Avocado

Carefree Gold Hair -- isn't that mostly glycerin? So you're giving yourself a double dose -- gonna have damp hair all day. Didn't you use the homemade frizz pudding? How about trying that again -- has less glycerin and dries faster.

My problem is that I'm out of leave-ins other than Elucence and I haven't been washing daily (only once a week), hence the need for a dry hair refresher. I was trying to follow recipes of others who use sta sof fro, just replacing it with the carefree gold. You're most likely correct, I just can't do that much glycerin.

I'm going to try adjusting the somewhat.

Dry Hair refreshers I like are Afro Detangler for spot curling (very nice and moisturizing). I don't have mine yet, so I'm using Qhemet Olive detangler with wet hands (so hair gets damp) and put a soft gel over that (John Masters or maybe AOMM). You can rake these in without a comb and they add moisture without the glycerin goop. Another good spot curler is [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Confident-Coils-Styling-Solution-p-116.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-confident-coils-styling-solution]Jessicurl confident coils[/buylink] with water, but it won't moisturize all that much.
