A non drying L'Oreal gel

McCurlyMcCurly Posts: 200Registered Users
I am searching for a drugstore gel that would not be drying. Do you have some good experiences with some of the l'Oreal gels?
I live in Europe and I can't find a lot of gels here, especially non drying gel.

Yes. It comes in a spray bottle but it's so thick that I just use it like a regular gel.

It sounds good. You don't find it drying for your hair? Does it contain cones or ingredients that are non CG?

    Any other advices, comments, experiences????

I know alot of people here use LOOB. Isn't that a gel??

I like L'Oreal Studio "Light Headed Melting Gel." It has a slightly runnier consistency. I normally just use that with leave in conditioner and have good results --- but I will say that on more humid days the gel doesn't have enough hold. My hair is dry, thick, and 3B.
    What's working this week:
Shower: Garnier 3x Nutrition shampoo 1x per week, cowash with Tres Semme Naturals, condition with
GF Sleek and Shine deep conditioner
Styling: Tres Semme Naturals as leave in, L'Oreal Melting gel and HE SMU raked in, LOOB and AG Re:Coil scrunched in, Jojoba Oil scrunched in when totally dry

I am totally loving Tightly Wound too. When I first got it, I didn't care for it, but I was spraying it on, using it layered w/ other stuff. Then it sat for a while. Now I use it like the above poster, I don't spray it, but unscrew the cap and pour into my hands and rake through. I have been having awesome results, boingy curls w/ low frizz.

Tightly Wound is totally CG. No cones or drying alcohols or anything like that. Definitely doesn't dry may hair out at all. Makes it soft and gives good shine.

Out of Bed is actually more of a cream than a gel. Some people do find that one a tad drying. I'm not overly impressed with it but it's ok. It does contain one 'cone but it's water soluble.
