I NEED HELP FOR BIG DAY TOMORROW!!!

Is there a brush i can use to help distribute conditioner or styling products on my wet hair? I'm over here trying to experiment because tomorrow I'm spending the day with my boyfriend for our one year anniversary and i want to look really nice. Thing is, i haven't gotten the hang of styling my hair just yet. I add gels and everything but it still seems like i'm not doing something right :evil: . I was looking at Asjachyld's photo album and she mentioned using a brush to distribute gel through hair while still wet and it helped define her curls almost perfectly. What kind of brush do you think that could be? :? Are there any tips you girls can lend me so i can try to do something with my head for tomorrow. lol. I'm like in a panic right now, lol.

I've read a lot of people use denman brushes to distribute product. I, personally, cannot fathom how they do it though because I can only use it to detangle (once a week and it takes a good 15 minutes). Maybe if your hair is already detangled, then the brush works well to distribute? HTH

Hi there.....I have the D4 Denman brush and I use it to distribute my styling product in small sections. Other people like the D31 I believe. Check out the Denman site and look at the Classic Syling and the Freeflow brushes: https://www.denmanbrush.com/store/storefront.asp

I do the same also. I section my hair put some gel on that section and brush through with my denman d4. It creates nicely clumped curls with no frizz.

Thanks girls!! Looks like I'll be doing some shopping tomorrow. You did say that I can buy that at Sally's right? Hopefully I'll be able to create a miracle before he and I go out. Thanks again!! If i have good results I'll post up some pictures!! If all else fail...just my luck... I might have to rely on tying a scarf over my head and wearing the classic hoop earrings. :P Can't go wrong with that look.

Well, i did it!! Well sorta. I follow your advice and used a brush to distribute Garnier Fructis Pure Gel through my hair. Man, I was like "I'm CLUMPING!!!" The curls really popped out when i used that brush. But thing is, i didn't get the chance to buy the Denman brush at Sally's so i just used an old cushion one that I've had for a while. Worked ok i guess. I co washed it first then added my leave-in and then the gel. It's nice because i've noticed that when i put that gel in my hair, my hair turned black. I think that when my hair is dry, it turns into a dark brown. The Garnier gel had glycerin in it, so i think that's why it turned black. What exactly is glycerin good for? I keep seeing the girls here talk about it, but i never thought to ask. I like the outcome of it though, it's a nice shiny black. The only problems i ran into was that i couldn't get the back part of my hair. It's hard to see what I'm doing back there...so I half assed it. And I didn't know which way to brush my hair to get a certain look. I'll figure it out sooner or later. Can't believe i never thought of brushing or combing my products through my hair. :roll: Duh, this whole time i've just been slapping it on my head and letting it sit there. But i'm learning, thanks again girls. I probably would have been looking a hot mess today if I hadn't asked for your help.

Yay! Glad it worked and post some pictures when you get a chance. Oh, and glycerin is a humectant so it draws moisture from the air into your hair. It's great if you live in a humid environment!

Yea, i live in Florida and it's constantly humid here. Even in the mornings. Guess I'll be sticking with products that have that. I'll post pictures up for sure!! Thanks again!
