Can't Find the Thread on Chafing!

CurlieGlamourGirlieCurlieGlamourGirlie Registered Users Posts: 1,198
My thighs are starting to chafe with it being summer and all and I prefer to wear skirts and sundresses to shorts. I remember there being a thread about this and can't find it! There was a suggestion for a balm that runners use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks! :)

What does chafing look or feel like?

When your inner thighs rub together and get red and raw. It happens to me in the summer.

The lotion recommended was the Monistat anti-chafing gel.

Monistat Soothing Care Anti-Chafing Powder Gel. It's available in the feminine hygiene section of any drug or grocery store:

Also, I like to get the cottony stretch athletic shorts...cheapies from Target or KMart or something...and wear them under skirts and dresses. The cheaper the better, because they'll be thinner, and therefore cooler.

    I hate thigh chafing.

My thighs have always rubbed together, even as a skinny little kid, but now that I've gained weight, it hurts!

I stopped wearing denim skirts because most of the are cut straight and the fabric doesn't give. When I wear looser, non-denim skirts, I don't really chafe.

    I definitely feel your pain!

    That's it!! Thank you!

I'd rather try a cream first that having another layer under my skirts, which I wear since they're flowy and comfy!!

I didn't have a coronary, nor did I murder anyone. That means pretty good. ;)

I honestly don't feel any more married than I did 3 days ago, but that's what I was expecting anyway.

I felt the same way - we had been co-habitating for a year before and we had been together for 5 years prior!

Love to see a pic when you've got them ready!

And all anyone can hope for at a wedding is no bloodshed! ;)
