Post Your Routines and Hair Types :P

Please post your routines and hair types, because I need a good routine. Everything poops out.

I also have about 1.5 hours of time when I wake up and have to leave the house.

(I am a newbie and I'm looking to try some different things.)

So far I:
co/w, condition, leave-in Strawberries&Cream
rake in L.A. Looks Sports Gel (scrunch it in afterwards)
**Sometimes I use honey before the gel, and also sometimes I spray epsom salt mixed with some water.

most days of the week I:
    co-wash & condition (currently V05 passionfruit smoothie)
    leave in coconut oil
smooth through L.A. Looks Wet Look gel

Once a week I will use sulfate free shampoo (currently blended beauty soy cream) along w/ the conditioner (currently blended beauty curl quenching) rather than co wash

halfway through the week i will do a brown sugar scrub with the V05 in place of the co wash

Does it provide enough hold/shine, and does it make the hair look wet?

I've been thinking about trying it out..

I have 3b hair with some 3c and the top of my hair is wavy, like 2c.

I 'poo with Creme of Nature Moisturizing (green) Shampoo (no sulfates). Then I condition with AHC mixed with a blob of Aussie 3MM. I leave that in for 3-5 minutes and comb with my fingers, sometimes with a comb if I'm knotty (but usually I'm not because the shampoo is UNBELIEVABLY detangling!). Then I rinse it all out (sometimes I might leave in a bit) with cool/cold water. Then I put in a few squirts of Activate Straightening Cream (great for poof) and 2-4 big blobs of LA Looks Wet or Sport (wet=clear; sport=blue). Yesterday I used Sebastian Potion 9 Generic from Sally's after that, and I think I like it a lot. However, it has a lot of proteins so I had to slather on some One C with it. When I don't use the Sebastian stuff, I usually just use a lot more of the Straightening Cream and some AHC as a leave-in. Then I either plop for 5 mins and then put it in a braid or just put it in a braid.

I have pretty fine hair, 3b which is about BSL when straight and just below my shoulders when its curly (see the www in my siggy)

At the moment this is my routine (which i'm loving!)
    - wash scalp with body shop honey moisturising shampoo
    - condition with body shop honey condish
    - flip head upside down and rinse very gently in cool water
    - very gently shake my head from side to side to break the curls up a little, i don't comb anything through once i've rinsed, my curl pattern is too fragile.
    - scrunch in a tiny amount of coconut oil followed by a more generous squeeze of shea moisture leave-in condish
    - scrunch a little more of the moisture out using a curl-eze towel
    - flip my head back and gently arrange any curls that are going in strange directions.. and thats it! I recently decided that gels just weigh my hair down rather than giving me any hold and my hair looks better if its well moisturied and free to "boing" up!
fine 3b curls and spirals - first goal BSL!!

HG's - Body Shop Honey shampoo & conditioner and Shea Moisture leave-in condish which gives me lovely frizz-free bouncy curls. My PJ is calling me to experiment with gels again... argh!

Current routine: Um, I don't feel like updating my siggie every thirty minutes. :) I'm experimenting right now! (loving the overnight plop!)

On co-wash days I use a cleansing conditioner, a leave-in and a gel. I try to hood dry if possible. Today it was Mop leave-in (just a co-rinse/detangle), SheaMoisture Sheabutter leave-in and AO Mandarin Magic and I did a short plop. All styling is done in the shower on wet hair, raking in upside down, side to side and leaning back.

On shampoo days, a shampoo, rinse-out conditioner, leave-in and a gel.

2b/3a here. I use EMBS 2x weekly with curl junkie's light conditioner, daily. I DT weekly with Ojon right before one of my poo days.

I apply (upside down while hair is soaking wet) FastFood leave in on the ends, two dime size amounts of CK and two more dimes size amounts of Pravana curl enhancing gel, I rake and scrunch it in.

Then, I scrunch with old shirt, flip over and scrunch again with a paper towel. I leave it alone for about 20 - 30 minutes, diffuse for about 10 minutes for volume, on low heat, flip, scrunch the crunch and apply a little bit of SMU for hold.

    I'm loving the results.

I have fine, but a lot of, 3a hair. This is my routine most mornings:
Flip upside down, condition & rinse out
Lightly scrunch with MF towel just to get enough water out so it's still a little drippy (upside down)
Still upside down, scrunch in gel and plop for 10-15 minutes
Flip upside down, take off towel and immediately start diffusing for about 5 minutes; air dry for about 45 minutes, then diffuse without touching my hair for about 5 minutes, then air dry
      Scrunch when dry

I'm a course-textured 3A w/some 3B almost to BSL. I'm a PJ but I'm sticking to these products and this routine until I grow out my pre CG damage. It works well and my hair is beginning to forgive me. :)

    NoPoo wash
apply lots of One C or [buylink=]Too Shea[/buylink] and detangle gently- pull up hair with claw while I finish showering ~10 mins
rinse out 70% of conditioner- I establish my part before I begin rinsing

While my hair is still soaking wet:
Apply a lot of CK by raking (my hair is super clumpy already so raking doesn't make it stringy)
Smooth on a very small amount of HE body envy
...Get the hell out of the steamy bathroom

Diffuse for 30 minutes then air dry the rest of the way
    Scrunch out any leftover crunch

For 2nd day hair I have to put it in a ponytail then I mix Deva SIF + HE BE gel in my hands and scrunch into my hair.

I have 2C/3A hair and quite a bit of it. I'm pretty new at the CG routine, but this is what I do:

    1. Co-wash with Suave Naturals conditioner (at the moment it's Aloe and Waterlily). I do this every other day.
    2. Immediately after my final rinse, I squeeze a little of the water out of my hair and put it into a towel, where I let it sit for about 15-20 minutes.
    3. After taking my hair down, I detangle with my fingers and apply a little conditioner as a leave-in (I'm experimenting with leave-ins at the moment, so I don't have a fav). I may or may not use a wide-toothed comb at this point, depending on how my hair feels that day.
    4. I apply my gel (L.A. Looks Rock Hard Fixation gel); again, I may or may not use a comb to help distribute it. I don't usually scrunch; I like to just gather my hair into sections (like a loose ponytail) and kind of shake them gently to get them to clump. If I want more volume/curl, I "cup" the hair; kind of like scrunching but without using fingers.
    5. Airdry. I usually wash my hair at night, so I try to get it dry before I go to bed. If it doesn't get all the way there, I don't worry about it; as long as it's at least about 80% dry, I'm good.
    6. If I want loose waves in the morning, I sleep with my hair down. If I want a curlier style, I'll do my modified version of the "pineapple" using a claw clip to secure my hair to the top of my head.
    7. In the morning, refresh as needed, using a little water and sometimes a little gel. On no-wash days, I either do an amusing attempt at 2nd-day hair, or I just put it in an updo.

    Whew! That was long. :)

Weird and twisted, just like my hair :)
    Type 2C/3A

    Modified CG as of 06/24/07
    Still experimenting!

    I'm 3a.
    My routine is something like:
once a week: Low poo or other mild poo
condish- suave sitrus smoothie/activate/MopTop/Vo5 (every shower)
style: emulsify a quarter size drop of [buylink=]re:coil[/buylink] in hands smooth over scrunch in
L.A. Looks gel in summer/ joiwhip in winter: smooth over and scrunch in
2c or 3a Cut most of my hair off in July '12 and am working on regrowing it.

Ihave 2b/3a fairly fine hair that is in good condition.
I get up at 5:30 and am out of the house by 7:00.
    My morning wash routine is:
By the time I leave the house my hair is 90% dry and looks dry for work.

At least 3 days a week I do 2nd day hair
Sleep in a pineapple. Keep pineapple in shower, not worrying if hair gets a little wet - just don't stick my head under. I have bangs so I use a headband to keep them off my face too. After shower take out pineapple, bend over and scrunch. If my curls have drooped, I spray Mister Right while bent over and scrunch. Let air dry.

I'm a fairly thick 3b/c - seems to be more 3c now i'm using Blended beauty products, anyway my routine:

wash daily in shower with either [buylink=]Blended cutie silky swirls shampoo[/buylink] or Blended beauty soy.
If i'm working ( my hair will be tied back in a bun so don't use BB/ BC shampoo) the body shop honey shampoo, or original source almond and coconut.
If leaving my hair out, I wash upside down.
rinse out shampoo add conditioner - if i'm working Body shop Honey. if not BB or BC conditioner, comb through add a bit of BB herbal reconditioner to ends cover in shower cap finish rest of shower.
go lotion my skins get dressed.

Rinse off conditioner comb through, take a fingertip size scoop of either happy nappy or down and out styles.or 6 pumps of [buylink=]curly frizz pudding[/buylink], distribute with fingers, flip up right away untangle underneath with fingers,
flip back over and "fix" - this sometimes means adding a little soft curls and swirls.
flip up right way, fix and i'm good to go, through out the day I'll fix any frizzies with kick for curls
Long thick curls, mix of 3b/3c

My hair type: Fine; 3a in the front; 3b in the back; Shoulder-length

Shampoo: Shampoo with Elucence Moistue Benefits Shampoo. I shampoo every day, but I do my best to keep the shampoo on the roots and only scrub my scalp and not the middle/ends of my hair.

Condition: Condition with Suave Radiant Brunette Conditioner (not CG). I apply most of the conditioner to the middle/ends of my hair, and not as much on the top/crown area. Comb through in the shower with a wide-tooth comb.

Dry: "Press" water out of hair. I don't know if this makes sense. I just kind of press my hair to get out the water, I don't wring it dry. Then I use a few paper towels to scrunch/blot out excess water.

Style: At this point I need to comb my hair again. Then I apply Joico Joiwhip Mousse. I would say that I rake in about a golf-ball sized amount. I try to really get a little bit rubbed into the roots around my crown to give some more volume. Next I comb my hair again, combing it all backwards because it seems to give more volume. (I don't put my hair around the sides of my face if that makes sense.) Then I flip my head upside down and scrunch. Flip up and scrunch a little more. I don't part my hair with a comb, as it kind of parts itself on the side.

Dry: Air-dry for 45 minutes. Then diffuse upside down on high heat/low speed for about 8 minutes. Flip back up, and I'm done! Like you, I have about 1.5 hours from the time I wake up until the time I leave.

Also, I will often bobby pin some of it back or wear a headband because. If I am going out again after work, or if I just have a lot of time to get ready, I will flip my (dry) hair upside down and really fluff up the roots with my fingers. Then I usually take a small (half-inch) curling iron and redefine a couple face-framing curls.
    Thin 3a/3b
    Shoulder Length
    Shampoo: Elucence Moisture Benefits
Conditioner: TiGi Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey
    Styling Product: Joico Joiwhip

I have 3b roots and 3 a length, i think. I'm waiting until I grow out some severely damaged hair to decided for sure.

I wash upside down over the tub with cold water.
I only apply conditioner in small amounts, not sure how much I use for sure.
First after wetting hair, I apply V05 vannilla & mint, over the surface. And I try to work out any big tangles with my fingers. Applying more conditoner as needed. After I got out the big tangles I add more conditioner to my hands and rake through hair from roots to tips. Then I comb through to get the little tangles and to make sure it is evenly distrubuted. Then I twist up into a little figure 8 thing and secure with clip, and take my bath (no shower).

Then when I'm done with bath, I rinse with cold water. Squeeze out any excess water, then take a little more conditioner (just enough for a thin layer on hands and rake through hair, then rake in a generous amount of coconut oil (my hair just soaks it up). then quater size blob of HE TT smoothed over hair, then smaller amounts raked through until evenly distrubuted. Scrunch, then plopp for 20 minutes or so, then air dry. Which usually takes about 2 hours.

Well..I do a serious co/wash-detangling at night but in the morning I just hop in the shower, leave in some of my suave naturals conditioner I put in suave professionala ligui-gel into soaking wet hair, then I spray some of my home made spray gel which is distilled water a little aloe and some honey. I plop in an MF towel for about 15 minutes, I take it down and sometimes difuse a little bit, but not always. That's it. I am 3a-b

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

    Ok, here's my routine:

I have lots of 3b with some 3c and 3a mixed in, shoulder length, highlighted, devachan cut hair.

    - wash with [buylink=]Devacurl no-poo[/buylink]
    - condition with Devacurl OneC then rinse
    - put more OneC in and use as leave-in (rake through with fingers)
    - scrunch dry with a t-shirt

    - rake in [buylink=]Curl Keeper[/buylink] (my new HG, it works great for me!)
    - scrunch in some Re:coil
    - clip the top so I don't have flat head
    - diffuse for about 10 minutes to get it about half dry (drys it the rest of the way in the car to work)
    - scrunch any crunch out with my hands

This has been working so good for me, that if I put my hair in a pineapple at night, I can get 2nd and 3rd day hair. If my hair starts getting a little frizzy, I scrunch in some [buylink=]Jessicurl Confident Coils[/buylink] on day 2 or 3, as needed.
    3B, with some 3C

    Most 3a, with a few 2c strands.

Rinse and condition. Wash with non-sulfate poo first, if necessary. Rinse hair upside down and squeeze some water out gentle. Scrunch in pea size dollop of [buylink=]re:coil[/buylink] emulsifyied in hands. Then scrunch in joiwhip or AG stylingjel (still looking for a new styling product). I diffuse upside down and each side until nearly dry. Once dry I scrunch out the crunch. I think I may try SIF again for that!

Overall, I'm happy with the curls I get from this routine. The only problem I have is frizz and how some parts of my hair lay (blame it on the need for a trim).
In DESPERATE need of a haircut.
