Aubrey Organics Mandarin Jelly

in Hair Type 4
Thanks to Suburbanbushbaby for recommending this product. I really like it.
Last Friday night I got tired of my hair, found the scissors and cut it.
I was trying to be patient and grow out a bad haircut from July 06, but I just couldn't take it anymore. So, I now have short hair again...<sigh>
At least I no longer need a headband! :P
Remember curlies, stay away from stylists that want to use a razor. Razors are .

Seriously, with my hair, the razor cut chopped the ends to be very uneven. Think of a piece of rope. When all of the pieces are the same length, the end is "smooth" and round. The razor cuts causes one curl to have several lengths, which causes frizz and rough-feeling ends. So no matter what products I used, I still had this fuzz that did not look cute.
Now back to the rope example: if you were cut the end of the rope, it starts to unravel and a jagged edge is formed. Not good for the rope or for curls.
I can SEE that the frizzy rough ends are different than the new growth. When I cut a piece of the razored ends along with a small piece of "smooth" hair, i can really see difference. The razored ends are whole different texture.
The problem with the haircut that I had is that the stylist razored very deeply into the hair shaft on certain areas of my hair. She thought I had too much hair and that it was too thick, so she tried to thin out my hair. Just awful.
So short of giving myself a buzz cut, I will have at least six more months of growing out and trims until I am back to normal. I must say that it looks a lot better since I took the scissors to it.
Btw ladies, I'm going to try the AO Jelly today to see if it works for me.
