Where do I find out detailed info. on silicones???

Any sites, or lists of cones, and non-cones on this site? or somewhere else? There are some really great conditioners I like that have cones, usually dimethicone listed almost as the last ingredient. So is that safer for us, and can we clarify if it builds up? I really want to learn more about the cones as otherwise I might have to take a chemistry course, lol. Thanks a lot for answering this. I am grateful in advance.

Here's a chart with a list of common cones and their required cleansing agents, and here's a thread about cones and buildup.
