Texture Change throughout growth

Hello All! I am a newbie to the website and I have some questions about my hair. My hair texture has changed over time and I am kind of confused as to why. Has this happened to many of you?
And, if so why?

The bottom and back of my hair is pretty ringlets and the front is more 3c and the roots are crinkly- I cannot see a curl pattern at all like the rest of the hair. I have different textures in different areas like most people, but the roots aren't even curling up at all.
Could this be because of a change in hormones-(birthcontrol)?

I am just so confused about this.
What are your takes?

I think it's fairly normal for most curlies to have several textures on their head. Were these roots curling before?

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.

Yes the roots were curly before like the texture on the bottom. Now the latest growth which is about 3 inches isnt curly at all. I noticed the following growth not having a curl pattern after I stopped taking hormones that I have been taking for about 2 years.

My curls are very tight at the root, perfect small coils. Mid-length to ends are medium coils. The front is loose curls, esp. on my right side. I atribute that to years of brushing the front into sleek ponytails. I also think, the ends are looser from when I used to get my hair pressed. The roots are new growth (never pressed). It works. But I look forward to trimming more off, so that the 'never-pressed' texture will dominate.

I'm going through the same ordeal  I wish I had loved my curly hair earlier...

    Hey ,

Yes my texture changed during my process.
When my hair was very short it was like 4a, now that my hair is longer and weights down, my hair is 3c.
I never had problems with this.

When I once relaxed my hair it refused to curl ,but one day *ping* my curls were back. I have no idea how this happened.
