Good detanglers

I am looking for a great detangler for my daughter who is 5 and has 3c/4a hair! It is thick and almost waist length and I just do not want to fight with her any longer w/ knots and snarls because of the thickness especially near the nape of the neck.

Any suggestions? I am considering PM's The Detangler
I am a 3c/4a with medium/fine strands

    Hi,

I have 2 girls with lots of hair - a 2b with tail bone lenght hair and a 3b/c with mid back lenght hair.

I use a shower comb when detangling their wet hair and I use a conditioner like Elucence MB, Activate or even Suave Healthy Curls with a lot of slip and really pour it on to saturate the hair from root to ends.

Once the conditioner is on, I comb it out very carefully from ends to roots, doing only a section at a time to detangle without any pain and to minimize the hair loss.

I rinse 95% of it out and leave in a little to ensure it will be easy to comb later.

If you don't already have one, you can find a shower comb at Sally's or Walmart for under $2.

I have pics on my fotki if you want to view:

Nice I was looking at the one w/ the braids, does she wear that out or just to bed?

They are very active so they mostly wear their hair in a braided or ponytail style and wear it out for special occaisions.
