Anyone do herbal rinses?

I've heard about people preparing herbal rinses for their hair.
Just wondering if anyone on here does them and can you describe how you do them, how often?
What benefits do they provide to the hair?
Thanks! :)

I do rinses every once in awhile. I have dark hair (mixed with grey) and use rosemary, lavender, sage, mint. I put some in a coffee filter along with some tea and/or coffee, tie it up and put it in a large mug or bowl of water, heat it in the micro and let it steep for awhile. Then I pour it over my hair as a final rinse.
I think it adds shine and freshens my hair.
There are lots of different herbs you can use. Chamomile is good for blond hair, calendula is good for red hair, marigold is good for dry hair.

Thanks Jeepcurlygirl! So you pour it over your head and don't rinse it out? Sounds like it would leave your hair smelling nice!
I might have to try it.

That's right, I don't rinse it out. I love the smell.
