really, REALLY impressed with new Suave Basics Gels

I've now tried all 3 of the new formulations of the Suave Gels, the Extra Hold 7, Mega Hold Sculpting Gel 8, and Extreme Hold Sculpting Freeze Gel 10.

All three were quite good with touchable hold that even allowed my curls to spring back after being in a ponytail during a workout. All three gave me piecey, clumpy, curl boosted, nicely defined, minimal frizz curls. The curls with the 8 formula was the clumpiness and had the best balance of hold and clumps. The 10 gave me a little more frizz (probably because more hold usually makes gel a little sticky). The 7 gave me more curl boosting but a smidge skinnier curls (more moderate than full-on clumpy).

Anyone else try them? I really didn't like the Sleek Gel, Aloe Gel, or any other Suave formula of gel I've tried. This was a pleasant surprise!

I"ve tried 7 & 10, 7 has a little bit too little hold for me but 10 is good. I haven't seen 8 at my stores yet.
That's the only new suaves I've seen so far.

The 10 holds well and they both give me chunky curls. They're that type texture that does that to my hair. 7 wimps out by the end of the day for me but 10 keeps my hair in place all day. I definitely keep these in rotation.

    Low porosity, medium texture.

I've tried the one in the orange(?) tube, that is supposed to be for frizz (silicone-free). It doesn't work for me on wet hair, but it's been great on dry hair. I smooth some on in the morning and my curls spring up and very little frizz. I've been so pleased with it that I haven't tried the other tube, either the 7 or 8 hold, that I bought!

And I definitely love the price.

I haven't tried the new Basics ones yet but I'm using the Sleek Liqu-Gel one, just a little bit over the GF C&S leave in and I get clumpy, frizz free, soft curls...I should try the Basics though, I'll see if I can find the Level 8 and try it.
