Hi Susan :D I would definitely say you're a 2B. You can take a look at my pics. I'm mainly a 2B, but I get a lot of 3A spirals in the summer :D You have pretty hair, BTW :D

2b~~fine texture~~normal porosity (except for highlights, which are high)~~normal elasticity~~medium density

Curl Enhancers: KCCC; JC Rocking Ringlets, JC Spiralicious, & Confident Coils
Styler: BRHG (over any and all curl enhancers) - this is the one product that I never change - absolute HG!!

Now I have to research how to treat new wavy hair. I am giving my best guess that hormones have changed! Any tips would be GREAT!!

I'd go all through this forum and also look at other pics of those with hair similar to yours to get tips, hints, etc.

    For starters:
    1. Get some microfiber towels (I got mine in the auto department of Walmart).
    2. Use mainly a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to comb your hair.
    3. Diffuse or air dry - or a combination of both.
    4. Give plopping a try. For some great videos, go to Jessicurl and check them out. She shows how to plop (plunking is the term she uses there) as well as some great hair tips.
    5. If you plan to go CG, modified CG or somewhere in between, begin checking your hair products for any cones and in particular - cyclopentasiloxane - the hardest "cone" to get out of your hair.

    Hope that helps :).

My hair looks a lot like that too!
    Even a similar color palatte.
    I figured I was a 2b from the description.
My hair is a bit more wavy when wet, but when it dries it is so frizzy and very loose waves.

    2b-3a?
    lots-o-hair
    frizz prone
    long and layered
    NEW to going wavy/curly!

I would say 2b, may be 2c. I think your hair still looks damp in the picture. Very pretty though!
