Hi,

I need serious help I bought Curly Hair Solutions line but it made my hair extremly dry. It is unbelievable.

I need to know what are the products or routines that 3c / 4a (back of head) are using?
My hair tends to get tired when I use the same products.

Any suggestions are welcome ladies.

Thanks

My hair is 3c/4a. One fail safe product for me is Aveda Universal Styling Creme. It is one thing I can go back to and get nice results with. My hair is happy with it, so I just need to keep it in the rotation.

My hair also loves Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel and Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Jelly. I prefer the latter, because it is a bit easier to manipulate and feels really really goood on my scalp while the FOTE feels a bit heavy.

I currently use two Curl Junkie products: Hibiscus and Banna Honey Cream Leave in and Coffee Coco Curl Cream.

I also use olive and coconut oil in my hair, which also makes my hair nice.

I like to put a small blob of Universal styling cream, a small blob of olive and coconut oil mix, a small blob of aloe vera gel, and a small blob of leave in in my hand, mix it up and rake it through my hair. Sometimes I add the curl cream to this mix.

I have been wearing my hair pulled back consistently for the last 10 years, though. I get my hair blown out and pressed every 3 months or so for a haircut (I'm overdue for one, actually.).

I was in Toronto recently and thought about going to Johnathan Torch's salon to get my hair cut and styled. He produces the Curly Hair Solutions products.....guess I'm glad I didn't go after all.

I used to be a big product junkie, but not anymore.

Only Curlkeeper ever worked for me (as a leave-in); the other products are just blah.

My hair is mostly 4a. If I had to choose one product, conditioner would be key.

As a moisturizing detangling conditioner, Robert Craig is tops. Suave Citrus Smoothie would be on the list if it didn't strip my color. I use Trader Joes Nourish as a condition-wash

Pre-wash deep treatments are great for me: Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment or a mix of conditioner, coconut milk, coconut oil, castor oil, honey.

Castor oil and honey are great moisture-retaining mix-ins to conditioneres or shampoos.

My current mainstay stylers are Curls/CurlyQ [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/CURLS-Curls-Milkshake-p-884.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Curls-Curls-Milkshake]Milkshake[/buylink] and Aubrey Organics Mandarin Magic Jelly (a nice moisturizing jelly). I may switch off occasionally to [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Blended-Beauty-Curl-Styling-Butter-p-529.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Blended-Beauty-Curl-Styling-Butter]Blended Beauty Curl Styling Butter[/buylink] and [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Confident-Coils-Styling-Solution-p-116.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-confident-coils-styling-solution]Confident Coils[/buylink].

Thanks for the suggestions, but most of the products u mentioned i never saw in the caribbean. I will check iin some salons.

I occasionally use an Olive oil from the brand Organics I put it all over my head after I shampoo then i rinse it out and use conditioner.
My styling products which I always go back to are IC Fantasia Polisher and IC Fantasia gel (the pink one). (but hair sometimes still get dried out)

I have tried Garnier fructis styling products and I can say that it is definetly not for 3c/4a. Made my hair crunchy and sticky.

the garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in conditioner is good along with the sleek and shine conditioner. curl and shine is also good.

i don't like any of their styling products.

You may want to check out www.afrobella.com, a beauty/lifestyle centered blog. Afrobella is from Trinidad, I think. Suave should be available pretty much everywhere. Everything but Trader Joe Nourish is orderable on-line.
