Wavy Hair While Transitioning

Hello,
I was just wondering if most transitioners
have wavy hair until they go completely natural? My hair is extremely
wavy right now and I'm not seeing a lot of type 4 hair that looks like
mine online. I'm assuming it will coil up when I cut it. Did anyone
else's hair behave this way?0
