Why is my hair not curling anymore?

A quick rundown of my hair:
For most of my life, I kept my hair short. It was until I was 14-15 when I started growing my hair. At that point, my hair appeared to be extremely curly, especially when I put water on it. Months after growing my hair, I started wearing a man bun every day for quite a long time. I then decided to stop wearing a man bun and cut my hair every once in a while to strengthen my hair. Now my hair hardly has a curl pattern. No matter how many times I tried to get haircuts, try new techniques, etc. it is still very straight. I am hopeless, yet still trying to find a solution to my problem.

So what could be the reason? And what could I do to fix this?

(Note: I never used any heat tools such as a hairdryer or straightener, I avoided UV damage by wearing hats when it was sunny outside, and tried different supplements to see if it was the solution.)

^ If any of these could be a significant factor, let me know as well.

Maybe it's about the way you wash it/take care of it or the products you use? Sorry, I don't really know, just some thoughts.

Have you considered getting a curly haircut by an actual curl specialist (if you haven't already)? They are experts at figuring out those issues and showing you how to achieve the same look at home. It is pricey, but I think it would be worth it. You could also just try finding a stylist with a reputation for being good with curls, waves (rather than a curl specialist, which you may have already done since you said you'd tried haircuts) if you are looking to spend less. All kinds of things can change your curls, but it is amazing what someone who knows curls can do. Could you tell us a little about the products you use and your hair routine? I can't guarantee any of us will know what to do, but I do know I've gone through all kinds of crazy things with my curls and tried lots of things. Do you know your hair type and whether it's fine or coarse, thick or thin, etc? Once I found out mine was fine AND thick (I always thought fine was thin), that made a difference in what products I could use.
