I have stubborn, straight parts at the front of my mostly 3b hair. How do I fix them?

Most of my hair is 3b (I think) but there are some stubborn, mostly straight parts at the front of my hair that just won’t do anything, no matter what I try. Maybe my hair is just like that and there is nothing I can do about it, but I’d like to know if there is anything I can do to help them to match the rest of my hair. If any of you have any ideas, please let me know!

You could maybe finger coil them.  Another thing would be to pin curl them or use soft curlers overnight.  I would be inclined to cut them into layers.  I have 2b parts in the back underneath some 3b spirals so I'm having layers cut in.  Well, that and my length is pulling the curl out.  I'm at tailbone right now.
