How often do you clarify?

My most recent best hair was after clarifying. I think as a low porosity wavy - I may need to clarify more often.

I clarify every 1.5 - 2 week.  I also get my best hair after I clarify.  I clarify once I start to notice what I call “build up frizz”, which for me is usually at the 1.5 week mark

I use a mild sulfate shampoo weekly, and Malibu C hard water shampoo about every 3 weeks.  I also get my best hair after clarifying, which makes me wonder why I even bother with the loo poos.  But I don't want to dry out my hair again, so maybe it's best to keep using them.

I have been thinking the exact same thing!

I use Malibu-C Un do goo once every 2-3 months to remove mineral residue, because I have hard water. I low-poo otherwise. In the beginning when I was still experimenting with products, I had to clarify more often. Now that I've switched to water-soluble products only, there is no need.

So much curl envy!  Even with water-soluble products & soft water I can’t go more than two weeks without clarifying. Plus, your curls are so pretty!

Once a month, my main clarifier is Neutrogena Anti Residue Shampoo. For the record, I have soft water.

Once a week I use a mild sulfate shampoo (Garnier Fructis) because I use minoxidil for thinning hair and it is oily and leaves a residue.  I like Deva One Condition which offsets the dryness and Curl Junkie Curl Rehab as a deep conditioner which I try to use once a week (but sometimes I am too lazy ha ha!).
    2/c Coarse hair med. density.
    Highly porous. Color over grey.
I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....

I clarify once a month with Kinky-Curly Come Clean. It's not marketed as a clarifying shampoo but let me tell you...STRIPPED! Add another name under the "Best Hair After Clarifying" list. 🙋🏽‍♀️

I clarify as needed - when my curls no longer bounce. No set schedule - every few months?? I use only a few drops of shampoo. I actually like to use a drop of dish soap: which is the same as a cheap harsh sulfate shampoo, but I don't always grab it from the kitchen. Usually I use baby shampoo which my straight haired hubby likes. We have soft water.
2c wurly silver & dark chocolate hair

Wash routine! 1-2 times a week: CO wash with Suave Coconut, leaving some in, plop, air-dry

    Great for me!
Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, coconut oil, olive oil

Bad for me! Phenoxyethanol irritates scalp, Distearyldimonium Chloride & Quaternium-87 straighten hair
