hi! my hair is 2b, 2c wavy/curly. i started the cg method about three months ago, and the ends of my hair are curly/wavy, but the crown of my head always falls flat! i use devacurl nopoo and one condition, then scrunch devacurl b’leave in gel and TRESemmè firm hold gel into my hair and plop for 10-20 minutes. i then sleep on wet hair in a satin bonnet and rescrunch my damp hair in the morning or diffuse it before i sleep. either way, my hair still comes out flat at the crown! what do i do??

I do root clipping to help give my roots some lift.  I like the rainbow clipping method - I find it's easy to do and also gives the crown a bit more waviness.  Look up "rainbow clipping" on youtube.
