Judge a Product by Its Ingredients, Not Its Name. Week of December 10

For those of you who are new: I will list the ingredients of two products along with some questions.  Your job is to answer those questions based on just the ingredients.    Please share any other observations you might have or some of your reasoning.  It helps us all learn to read ingredients better :)

This week, I have one product that is marketed as a curl enhancer and one as a leave in.  Can you tell which?

Product A
WATER/AQUA/EAU, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE, BEHENTRIMONIUM METHOSULFATE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, MALTODEXTRIN, GLYCERIN, CETYL ALCOHOL, CHONDRUS CRISPUS (CARRAGEENAN-IRISH MOSS), VACCINIUM MACROCARPON (CRANBERRY) SEED OIL, PVP, CETYL ESTERS, HYDROLYZED CUCURBITA PEPO (PUMPKIN) SEED EXTRACT, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, POLYQUATERNIUM-10, PHENOXYETHANOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL

Product B
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Vegetable Glycerin, Slippery Elm Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Panthenol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance.

1. Which one is the leave in and which one is the curl enhancer?
2. What made you choose the curl enhancer?
3. Which one seems more moisturizing?
4.  Do you think these are high end or drug store brands?

Tricky. First, I'd like to say that I want to try both.
    1. Product A is the curl enhancer.
Product B is the leave in.
    2. Product A has PVP and polyquats, and that's what I'm staking my hat on as being the curl enhancer.
    3. I would say product B is more moisturizing, but product a seems moisturizing too.
    4. I say high end for both? I thought it was Kinky Curly, but i don't see ingredients I recognize from the knot today.

I second @BrittanyM, I want to try both of these!

    1. Product A is the curl enhancer, Product B is the leave in.
    2. Product B, what I think is the leave in, has several humectants in addition to glycerin being pretty high up on the ingredients list, which I've noticed that leave ins tend to have those 2 qualities.
    3. Both I think would be very moisturizing, but in different ways. I think Product B would give a lightweight moisture and Product A would be a little heavier.
    4. I think product B is in the Kinky Curly Knot Today, but I'm not positive.  If it is, I know I can find it at Target so I'd put Product B as the drug store product and Product A as the high end one.

    1. Product A is curl enhancer, product B is leave-in.
    2. I chose the curl enhancer as product A because of the PVP and maltodextrin, which would form a bit of a cast on the hair to hold the curl (I'm not sure that maltodextrin would form a cast, but I think it would).
    3. Product A seems more moisturizing due to all the film-forming humectants. Product B looks like it would act more like a sealer due to all the oils.
    4. I think these are both drugstore products.

I think product A is the curl enhancer and B is the leave in.  A has PVP for hold, plus Irish moss for curl enhancement.  I think it was @naturecat that used to use irish moss - I was interested in trying it, but I guess not interested enough to track down where to buy it or how to use it.

B has a lot of oils in it, so while it may be a leave in, it would be too heavy for my hair.  The slippery elm will give it lots of slip, so it'll seem very moisturizing, but the oils will prevent any absorption of anything after it's applied.

    Interesting about irish moss!

I am obsessed with the Outlander series so constantly think to myself "if I get get transported to the past, I have no idea how to make my own stuff from plants and stuff. I should learn this stuff!"

    1. A is the curl enhancer, B is the leave-in
    2. I think A is the curl enhancer because it contains polyquaternum-10 which I believe is a curl enhancer and because B contains slippery elm extract which is an ingredient in the Kinky Curly Knot Today.
    3. B, I think?
    4. high end?
Probably 3A. Fine. Normal Porosity. Medium or High Density
    Current Products I Use:
    Suave Essentials Tropical Coconut Conditioner
    GVP Conditioning Balm
    Cantu Curl Activating Cream
    Kinky Curly Curling Custard
    LA Looks Nutra Curl Gel
