Different routines (like scrunching) can alter curl type.  Also, many curies have multiple curl types in our hair.  Good luck on your new journey of wavy hair!

Thank you for replying! I did the test based on how my hair is today (it's been different every time I've washed it so far!) And I might have 2c hair so will look into tips for wavey hair 😊

    Thanks again x

Yes, you definitely have textured hair. Look around here and get some ideas on how to style and keep your curls going for days.

Naturally Curly has been a great resource for me to help trouble shoot issues and get new things to try.   I do have some favorites that I bookmark because I share a lot

Since you’ve only very recently decided to wear your hair in its natural, and in my opinion, it’s best state which sprouted from your head from birth, I believe it’s “healing”.

It will most likely get curlier and shrink as you cut off damaged ends bit by bit. :)

Ive seen people have straight hair, 1B straight that is, go to a 3B Curl after cutting off decades of heat damage. So if you’re hair only recently started getting properly cared for expect it to curl more!

@Stillunsureonmycurltype thanks for your message! Oh wow I wonder if it will curl much more? I had been straightening it since I was about 13 so 20 years!

Also, I'd love to see before and after on those drastic changes! Gonna google and search this site 😊
