hello,
according the the quiz Im a 3A low porosity...
the top layer of my hair is a lot flatter and loose but the underneath layers are capable of tight curl pattern. Am I a true type 3 and how to help with the top/crown hair not be so flat??

You definitely look like type 3A to 3B to me. I have the same issue, especially in the winter when the humidity is low. My hair likes hot humid weather and curls much more then. Right now, with the wintery weather, the top is flatter and I have less definition. I wish I had some good advice for you but all I can say is to keep experimenting with products and routines.

You look like a type 3 to me too.

As for the crown being flat, that is very common. You could try clipping your wet hair at the crown to help take the weight off the scalp as the hair dries. Just do a search for "clipping" on the Naturally Curly site. Here is an example of some clipping: https://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/curly-hair-type-3a/how-to-clip-at-the-roots-for-curly-hair-bi
Low poo: Intelligent Nutrients (IN) Harmonic; Oribe Cleansing Creme
    RO: IN Harmonic
LI: CJ Beauticurls; Jessicurl (JC) Gelebration Spray
DC: JC Deep Conditioning Treatment; Weleda Rosemary Conditioning Oil
Stylers: JC Confident Coils; IN Volumizing Spray; IN Perfect Hold Hairspray; John Masters Sea Mist; Bumble Bb. Gel; Kenra Firm-Hold Gel; Sevi Blue Yarrow Sea Salt Spray

Agree. 3a perhaps a few 2c. Very pretty.
Definitely try clipping. Rainbow clipping with help too. I think there is a YouTube Video. I will clip after my hair is about 50 percent dry.
