Question: Do you only purchase products that say they're for textured hair (curly, coily, etc.)

1. Do you only buy products for texture? If so, why?
2. Are there any products that aren't specifically for texture that are Holy Grail products for you?
3. Do you feel like stores have adequate space devoted to products for textured hair?
4. How many products have you bought over the past month, and how many were specifically for texture?
5. What is your texture type?

I am Wavy/Curly.  When I first started CG I bought products that were "best" for  Wavy hair.  I have found that your texture type is far less important when picking a product type than your hair's porosity, density, and thickness.
    2c/3a | low porosity | fine/medium | low/medium density| protein,coconut, and green tea sensitive | Modified CGM

    Low-Poo:  Jessicurl Hair Cleansing Cream

    1) Nope, I buy what works.

    2) I don't feel like I have any holy grail products, but most of my stuff that I use the most of/use most often isn't specific to textured hair.

    3) I feel like the primary store I shop at is getting better, but there is still room for improvement.

    4) 2 products, ran low on gel and conditioner, neither of which are textured specific.

    5)Bad days are 2A, good days I get all the way to a 2C, averaging a 2B 😁.

    1.  I buy products that are CG compliant, so mostly things that are specifically for curly hair - Deva Curl, JessiCurl, Curl Junkie, Innersense.  But I do use Giovanni from time to time, which is not necessarily for curly hair.
    2.  I don't really have any HGs.
    3.  Not around me, but I'm in Canada.  We have a hard time finding good stuff here.
    4.  None.
    5.  Mostly wavy - 2b/c on average.

    1. Yes, because my experience with products that aren't specifically for textured hair is that they just don't work for me. They either don't give me the results I'm looking for or they completely dry out my hair.
    2. No, my HG products are for textured hair.
    3. Some are better than others, but I do notice that the amount of space for textured hair products is always drastically smaller than the space for non-textured hair products.
    4. I just stocked up last night at Target, so 3: a deep conditioner, a cream, and a leave in - all for textured hair.

    1. No - I buy CG friendly products (and without animal testing), some for curly hair, some not.  My styling products generally are for textured hair specifically (curl creams, curl enhancers).
    2. Carina Organics gel, Carina Organics deep conditioner (used as a leave-in), Inecto Coconut conditioner for co-washing
    3. Mostly, though many of the textured hair products are not CG so it seems like there is little selection once that restriction is applied.
    4. Only one (Carina Organics deep conditioner, not specifically for texture) but I bought a whole bunch of products in the summer, some of which were for textured hair (mostly Shea Moisture), and those products are lasting me a long time.

LI: SM JBCO leave in, Giovanni Direct Leave-in

    1. Nah, I read INCI and check if it's CG approved, if yes, I simply buy it and try it. If it does not work for me, I give it away to my friends, great 4 straight-hair girls:) Everything will do for them:)  (not jealous at all, nah...)
    2. Dunno yet, because I have just started CG method last week:) I used a lot of silicone-products and did not know about PEH, so probably no need to say what I was using:)
    3. As far as I am concerned - yes, I have just started making my list of products that are CG approved and contains emolient, humectans or proteins and there are a lot.
    4. Oh dear, I bought a lot of them, but as i just have said - just started. I think everything is for curly hair, I bought Cantu and waiting for DevaCurl to be available, we have a small problem with in in Poland.
    5. 2b, but I hope it will become 2 c, as it was when I was younger:)

PS Great place, girls! I have just discovered it and I love it!
PS 2 I have changed my profle pic 2 times and it is till not visible, hope it just needs time?

@Natucurly, you might have to crop and/or resize your profile picture to get it to show up. That's what I did

Did not help, changed the size (it was 100x100), changed the size of a pic losing quality. Ugh.
    But thank you!
