What Should I Know When Getting My First Braids/Twists?

I recently decided to go natural, and I want a protective style for the winter. I would really love some jumbo twists, and I'm in the process of trying to find the right stylist, but how do I know whether or not someone is good at doing them? My major concerns are the twists being too heavy or tight and breaking off my hair. How will I know if that's happening? What are the signs of good and bad braids/twists???

Welcome!  I don't know anything about braids or twists, but I wanted to say hi!  I hope you get a style that you like!
