Oh this is neat. It'd be nice for them to have a section for hair styles/cuts so there is more  curly "hairstyle" inspiration magazines in salons.

@BrittanyM -- it does have a section for styles/cuts -- i signed up for emails from them on the kickstart site, and got an email with the link to their pilot issue.  of course it's online, but they will also have print issues.  i think the first one is due out in december.  i will definitely try a yr's subscription.

    here is the link --

I had some difficulty getting on their website today and I couldn't get the email signup button to work but after awhile it got to working.

Let me know what you think when you read the pilot issue.  I think they have a good format.

I'm halfway through. I have trouble sticking to one thing longer than half an hour, but so far, they've got some good sponsors so I think it could be a success depending on how they go about marketing it. The stylists weighing in on issues is my favorite so far. You get four different perspectives on the issue so you can try different things until you get it right.

I will enjoy it a lot more when it comes out in paper form, but I think it will be enjoyable and informative and fun to look at.

Just got my email to subscribe to the paper (+ digital) magazine! It's expensive to me but it's a gift to myself.

i also got the email.  it is expensive for year, but it is what i expected.  cheaper to do the automatic renewal, but i want to see how it goes first.
i tried to buy a 1 yr non-renewal subscription and after clicking on that i couldn't go any further.  it would put me back...
i'll wait til tomorrow and maybe give them a call or email.

@rbb I had to click on all the options a few times before that page would cooperate. I paid more for just the one year because I don't let anything auto-renew without knowing how easy it is to cancel.

mail hasn't come yet, so i assume i will get my copy this afternoon.  hmmmm..... my schedule is such that if i can be a mature adult and put off reading it til tomorrow, that might be a great reward.....   haha!  i know i will at least flip through it....

let me know what you think of magazine.

ok, so much for delaying gratification, lol!   just got the magazine, flipped thru it while i remained standing, and immediately decided i must read one of the articles.
i will just say the photos are amazing!  well worth the price of the magazine.
and one other thing -- they have a section where they have products and each product is used/reviewed by 3 people saying how it worked in their hair and if they would recommend it and for who.
    ok, no more.
and i need to get off computer and get back to magazine.
(i work from home and work is now part time, so..... sometimes schedule is flexible.)

I love the quality of the paper used for the magazine and the lovely photographs. It's going to take me forever to finish it though since I keep having to stop reading and look up products they mention!

I agree about the paper.  So unusual and so ‘just right ‘. I’m still not finished as it’s not something you flip through.
I am very impressed with the quality of this publication.

And some good customer service too!  There was some information missing in the gift guide so I went online to see if it was in the digital magazine but I couldn't log in. I contacted them and they replied in minutes, reset my password, fixed the info on the digital version, done!
